Welcome to The Pulse! Please take a minute to check out what's happening at Church of the Apostles.
|
Please join your church in praying for the following requests for the life and mission of the church:
+ Please pray for our high school students as they travel this weekend to Beech Mountain for a ski trip. Pray for greater depth of relationships between the students, and for them to grow closer to Christ as they go.
+ Pray also for our church as we continue to work toward hearing the Lord as he directs us in our focus and purpose as a church. Pray for our clergy and staff, and for our Leadership Council, for strong collaboration, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit's leading and discernment for future plans.
+ Pray for Christ Our Hope Anglican in Wilmington. Pray for Curt Solomon and his family as he leads their church, and pray that they can grow past the mark of 100+ people in their 2019 average Sunday attendance.

 Southeast Regional Retreat
We will be hosting the Southeast Regional Retreat,
February 7-9 for the churches in our region. This year's Regional Retreat topic is Taking the Broader Synod Theme of Immigration and the Scriptures and Applying Them at the Regional Level with speaker Rev'd Chris Schutte of All Saints Durham.
You are invited to join us on Friday evening and Saturday morning.
{Thursday and Friday are rector and ministry leader meetings.}

st month my team and I were in Gulu, Uganda at a trauma treatment center run by an organization called Child Voice. The center houses and provides counseling and classes for child mother refugees from South Sudan. With the women there we got to carry water from the bore hole on our heads, shuck corn, love on lots of sweet babies, and just spend time with the women at the center. READ MORE
