Welcome to The Pulse!  Please take a minute to check out what's happening at Church of the Apostles.
Please join your church in praying for the following requests for the life and mission of the church:
+ Pray for one of our sister churches, Church of the Apostles in Fairfield, CT, where our future interim senior pastor Art Going is currently serving. That they would continue preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ and being the hands and feet of Jesus to one another and to their community.

+ Pray for the married people and the single people in our congregation. That this church might truly be a family to all, and the everyone would see themselves as part of one larger and eternal Family.

+ Pray specifically for your neighbors to the left of you, to the right of you, and across the street from you. And pray for clarity and direction on how God might use you to bless them.

LC Listening Post | July 28
Leadership Council will host its final "listening post" on Sunday, July 28 at 7:00pm in the Fellowship Hall.  Come with your questions, concerns and prayers regarding Apostles.

Summer Video Series Continues!
Join us after the 10am worship service as we watch the video series: For the Life of the World: Letter to the Exiles  and then have a time of Q&A, feedback, and discussion.   These short films explore the  challenge of being "in the world, but not of it." Each episode digs into a different aspect of faith and culture, of how we can live for God's glory and for the life of the world.

**If you are unable to make it on Sundays or if you have missed some episodes, you can catch up on Amazon Prime.  If you are a Prime member, the  series is free to stream.   We still encourage you to attend the Sunday viewing ... the discussion afterwards is as valuable as the episodes themselves. See you then! **

Potuck, Prayer + Praise has been moved a little bit later. We hope this will help those coming from work or with family and food in tow!  Dinner begins at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall, followed by worship and prayer at 7pm in the Youth Room.

A to J: main dish | K to S: side dish |T to Z: dessert

We are collecting  student supplies for Neighbor to Neighbor and  teacher supplies for Carroll Middle School again this year! Pick up a bag {with supply list} from the church lobby beginning this Sunday and return it with supplies by AUGUST 18th .

Safe Families for Children
It's not too late to join the Apostles Safe Families For Children group with reading  The Gospel Comes With A House Key by Rosaria Butterfield! Read at your own pleasure. We will meet at Suzanne Garrison's house on   Sunday, September 22 for discussion and fellowship. You do not have to be part of Safe Families to participate.   Email suzgarrison@me.com to sign up and receive additional information.
Our church's Safe Families volunteers are currently offering childcare to a single mom's 1 year old and 3 year old who recently moved to the area. We could use more family friends to help with this! Please contact Sara Hillegass  {240-291-0462 |  schillegass@gmail.com}
to get started on the approval paperwork.

Emelyne and Thiery are with the Compassion Project at Church of Gikomero, Apostles' Sister Church in Rwanda.  The Sponsorship of a child is an incredible gift of love, provision of medical care, food, school and most importantly bringing the love of Jesus to the child and their family.  The cost is $38 monthly.  If you are interested sponsoring Emelyne or Thiery, contact Teresa Kincaid { teresa@apostles-raleigh.org | 919-389-8093}.

Praise God for His provision during our Fiscal Year Ended June 30, 2019.

Budgeted general contributions (7/1/18-6/30/19) $1,693,600
Actual general contributions $1,657,674

While we remained behind our budgeted revenues, our revenues increased $6,300 over the prior fiscal year. We are truly thankful for God allowing us to manage our expenses throughout this fiscal year. Please pray for our congregation to grow both in attendance and in stewardship as we move into a new fiscal year which began on July 1.

The Fiscal 2019 results will be posted to Apostles' Link once the Auditor's review is complete (no later than September 30th).
