Welcome to The Pulse!  Please take a minute to check out what's happening at Church of the Apostles.
PRAY WITHOUT CEASING
Please join your church in praying for the following requests for the life and mission of the church:

+ Pray for our bishop, Steve Breedlove, as he finishes up his sabbatical, that he may be rested and refreshed, reinvigorated to shepherd and serve the churches of the Diocese of Christ Our Hope.

+ Pray for our church, that we would praise as a family and lament as a family, that we would rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

+ Pray for those in our midst suffering with long-term illness with no definable cure. Firstly, pray that God would miraculously heal them for his glory and for our gain. And pray that they would not lose hope, but be able to rest in the promises of God fulfilled in Christ Jesus.

Summer Video Series Continues!
Join us after the 10am worship service as we watch the video series: For the Life of the World: Letter to the Exiles  and then have a time of Q&A, feedback, and discussion.   These short films explore the  challenge of being "in the world, but not of it." Each episode digs into a different aspect of faith and culture, of how we can live for God's glory and for the life of the world.

**If you are unable to make it on Sundays or if you have missed some episodes, you can catch up on Amazon Prime.  If you are a Prime member, the  series is free to stream.   We still encourage you to attend the Sunday viewing ... the discussion afterwards is as valuable as the episodes themselves. See you then! **

MISSION PARTNERS
Safe Families for Children
It's not too late to join the Apostles Safe Families For Children group with reading  The Gospel Comes With A House Key by Rosaria Butterfield! Read at your own pleasure. We will meet at Suzanne Garrison's house on   Sunday, September 22 for discussion and fellowship. You do not have to be part of Safe Families to participate.   Email [email protected] to sign up and receive additional information.
Our church's Safe Families volunteers are currently offering childcare to a single mom's 1 year old and 3 year old who recently moved to the area. We could use more family friends to help with this! Please contact Sara Hillegass  {240-291-0462 |  [email protected]}
 to get started on the approval paperwork.
