PRAY WITHOUT CEASING
Please join your church in praying for the following requests for the life and mission of the church:

+ Please pray for our church's Guatemala Team, comprised of students and adults who will leave this Saturday to serve alongside Potter's House in Guatemala City. Pray that they can be a spiritual encouragement to the Guatemalan people they will get to know. Pray for team unity and endurance. And pray also for the people 25 miles southwest of Guatemala City who were affected by the recent volcanic eruption.

+ Give thanks and pray for every father in our congregation, and pray for the Lord to equip them with the fruits of the Spirit, that they would serve their families with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

+ Pray for our Mission Partner, Hope Reins, as they pair up kids with horses for equine therapy, helping them heal from trauma by the power of knowing the love of Jesus for each of them.

FINANCIAL UPDATE
Please be in prayer that we would finish our fiscal year on June 30, 2018 with excellence!

Budgeted general contributions (7/1/17-5/31/18)     $1,587,000
       Actual contributions                     $1,535,405

Budgeted operating expenses (7/1/17-5/31/18)       $1,568,937
       Actual/committed expenses$1,500,369

While we remain behind in revenues, we are truly thankful for God allowing us to manage ourexpenses thus far this fiscal year without impacting ministry. Please pray for our congregation to grow both in attendance and in stewardship as we move into a new fiscal year on July 1.

We have completed thirty-two months of the three year Freedom for Mission pledge journey. We have received $1,100,252 toward the $1,276,214 pledge total (86%). Our loan balance is ZERO, and every dollar for Freedom for Mission is now going straight toward Freedom for Mission grants. Thank you for continuing to fulfill your Freedom for Mission pledges!

The recent eruption of the Fuego volcano has brought utter devastation to the people of Escuintla, Guatemala.  Potter's House, the mission partner hosting our Guatemala Mission Team, is in close communication with the Mayor and others of Escuintla who are organizing disaster relief and ongoing support.  Through our Benevolence Fund, Church of the Apostles gave $4,000 to Potter's House to assist in the volcano relief efforts there.  For more information on Potter's House, please visit:  pottershouse.org.gt.

VBS 2018
Sunday, June 24 | 5-8pm
June 25 - 28 | 9am-12pm

We will venture onto an uncharted island where kids are rescued by Jesus!  They will be anchored in the truth that Jesus carries them through every storm in life.  They'll learn to hold onto God's promises when they are lonely, they worry, they struggle, do wrong, and feel powerless.  Each day at Shipwrecked VBS, kids travel through field-tested rotations that reinforce relevant Bible Points and immerse kids in new adventures.

NOTE for NON-MEMBERS:
To inquire about registering a child ages 4 and under who do not regularly attend worship at the Church of the Apostles, please contact Stacey Wiley {919-782-0550 x 22} to request registration information.
