The SOAR Intensive R Grant Writers Workshop application deadline is April 29. Sessions begin June 16 and extend to September. The program includes eight virtual sessions and a mock study section, with grant sections reviewed collaboratively by facilitators and peers.

NEW! High-Impact DCT Grants – Fast Focused Funding

The CTSA Program at UT Southwestern will award up to two $25,000, 10-month grants for research related to Data Science, Clinical Care Process Improvement and Early Translational Research. Apply by 5pm on June 2.

Community-Based Opioid Recovery Effort Grants

The Opioid Abatement Fund Council has announced the availability of up to $25 million across all regions for competitive, short-term Community-based Opioid Recovery Effort grants for one-time awards or projects expected to last less than a year that fall within any Council-approved category and strategy. The firm deadline to apply is Thursday, May 29 by 2 pm.

Seeking Clinical and Translational Research Scholars

The UT Southwestern CTSA Program has designed a 2-year scholar opportunity for junior faculty who show great promise in becoming successful, independently funded clinical and translational science investigators, with partial salary support from the CTSA KL2 grant. Apply by June 9.

TARCC has announced its 2025 Request for Applications to support innovative, translational based research in Texas and to ensure well-trained basic and translational researchers and clinician-scientists are available in Texas to aid in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease and related disordersApplications from junior investigators and projects that reflect cutting-edge science that will provide pilot data for larger proposals are particularly of interest. Applications are due July 15 by 5pm.

Texas Health Resources Clinical Scholars Program

The THR Clinical Scholars Program supports the training and development of outstanding UT Southwestern clinician-researchers, providing up to 70% protected research time and other resources for clinical investigators in their first five faculty years. Prior to attending college, Madrea served as a soldier with the 568th Engineer Unit in the US Army. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Howard University and a Master of Science in Training and Development from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Before transitioning to education, she pursued a career in telecommunications as a digital traffic analyst. Madrea brings over 20 years of experience in education, spanning early childhood through grade 12. During that time, she functioned in various roles, including program manager, instructor, counselor, coordinator, mentor, and trainer. Madrea will assist in the facilitation and promotion of the YAM program within the Dallas-Fort Worth Independent School Districts.
