State Testing Starts Monday at Heart of Ohio Classical!

We’re excited to let you know that state testing begins this coming Monday! Our students have been working hard all year, and now it’s their time to shine. We can’t wait to see them show off all the knowledge, skills, and growth they’ve gained throughout the year.

To help your child feel confident and ready, here are a few simple but important ways you can support them at home:

Get a Good Night’s Sleep

Make sure your child gets plenty of rest each night—especially before testing days. A well-rested mind is sharper, more focused, and better able to recall information.

Eat a Healthy Breakfast

Fueling up with a nutritious breakfast helps students stay energized and focused. Foods like eggs, fruit, whole grains, and yogurt are great options.

Arrive on Time

Punctuality sets a calm, stress-free tone for the day. Please help your child arrive at school on time so they feel settled and ready to begin.

Encouragement Goes a Long Way

A few kind words or a quick note of encouragement can give your child a big confidence boost. Let them know you’re proud of their hard work!

OWLS Awarded This Week

Number of OWLS given out for the week:

Congratulations to all of our incredible students at Heart of Ohio who received OWLS this week! A total of 123 OWLS were awarded to students for their outstanding effort, kindness, and perseverance. Keep up the great work, and keep soaring! 🌟🐦

Enrollment is now open for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school year.

HOCA PSO Corner

Our Spring Flower Sale was a success! We sold 419 items and made $2,141.50 in profit.

Please be on lookout for a volunteer sign up for help with Delivery Day on May 12th !

The PSO plans to allocate the profits from our current fundraiser towards 501c3 setup costs, enhancing the Teacher’s Lounge, organizing the Year-End Celebration, providing nourishment for our dedicated teachers during Parent/Teacher Conference Day, and celebrating Staff

Appreciation Week

We’ve received many questions from parents since our restructuring, asking, “How can I join the PSO” If you have children enrolled at Heart of Ohio Classical Academy, you are already part of our growing PSO!

As we finalize our last few events for the school year, we will be looking for volunteers to help with various committees and events. If you are interested in contributing, please feel free to email us at hocapso2024@gmail.com.

Families please be aware that we do not allow siblings to play in the parking lot before and during dismissal. This is a safety precaution as many cars are coming into our parking lot at that time.

Beginning Monday, March 10, any student with a negative lunch balance on their account will be served an Uncrustable and will not have the option of a hot lunch until their account has a positive balance.
