School Highlights

We are officially in the home stretch! With only 6 weeks left in the school year, there is still much to accomplish. Every day, we continue to learn, grow, and push ourselves to new heights. The hard work and dedication we’ve seen from everyone this year has been truly inspiring, and we’re excited to finish strong together.

Spring MAP testing will be coming up shortly, and we are looking forward to seeing our students succeed once more. We know they are prepared, and we can’t wait to see the results of all their hard work!

Let’s keep up the great work and finish the year with focus, determination, and pride. We’re almost there!

Congratulations to all of our incredible students at Heart of Ohio who received OWLS this week! A total of 123 OWLS were awarded to students for their outstanding effort, kindness, and perseverance. Keep up the great work, and keep soaring! 🌟🐦

Congratulations to Ms. Ashley Bolin for passing her RESA (Resident Educator Summative Assessment). The RESA is designed to evaluate a teacher’s ability to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a classroom setting. We are so proud of her dedication for taking on this endeavor to support our children in systematically and continuously engaging in inquiry and reflection as she progresses through the teaching and learning cycle. Way to go, Mrs. Bolin!-- Mr. Lanthorn

After completing an intensive mentoring program, Ms. Bolin demonstrated her excellence by meeting — and exceeding — the Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession through this rigorous assessment. The RESA is a key milestone in the professional journey of Ohio educators, and we are incredibly proud of her accomplishment.

MONDAY, May 12th--- WE ARE IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS!!!! Please see LINK below for Delivery Day sign-up. We will need help in the morning with delivery from Foertmeyer and help with distribution during the car line in the afternoon. If you know your student has a large order, please plan accordingly.

HOCA Staff Appreciation Week May 5-9 – Celebrating the Best of What’s Around!

The HOCA PSO is proud to sponsor Staff Appreciation Week for the incredible team at Heart of Ohio Classical Academy, taking place May 5th–9th. Each day, we’ll provide thoughtful gestures to express our gratitude. We also encourage students to participate in showing their appreciation through a few special activities.

Monday, May 5th: Have your students bring thank-you notes for the staff! Remember to include teachers, aides, the admin team, and the cafeteria staff.

Thursday, MAY 8th: Restock the Classroom! The biggest need is cleaning supplies (Clorox wipes, paper towels, etc) as well as dry erasers, dry erase markers. If you can bring these things in on Thursday, May 8th to your homeroom, it would be greatly appreciated!
