Welcome to The Pulse! Please take a minute to check out what's happening at Church of the Apostles.

Please join your church in praying for the following requests for the life and mission of the church:
+ With hope and faith, please pray these things for our church: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
+ Pray also for the Lord to provide for our incoming Fellows the final Host Families, Job Placements and Mentors for the coming year.
+ Pray for the shooting victims and communities in Dayton, OH, and El Paso, TX, that the Lord would comfort and heal, and that churches in those cities would be an instrument of God's care.

Out Of Idleness
Post-Sabbatical Note from Rev Eric Bolash
 I'm back! It wasn't easy setting the alarm for that first Monday morning, but I came in to a "decorated" office as my welcome back from sabbatical.
I realize it's been an exceptionally eventful summer for our church. That's putting it mildly. Although I haven't been here, I know it's been difficult. As I return, I am ready and want to be available to walk further with everyone through this time. Call or email if you'd like to get together. I'm eager to listen.

MISSIONARIES OF APOSTLES
Dear Apostles Church Family ~
 Thank you so much for your prayers, support and partnership during my two weeks in Ukraine with InterVarsity students working at CCX's summer English Camp. English Camp is designed to create space for university students who are not yet believers to meet Jesus and ask spiritual questions. In the course of the week, we built relationships, played games, taught English, shared stories, laughed, studied the Bible, tackled tough spiritual questions. We saw four Ukrainian students say yes to following Jesus during English Camp this year!
 It was a joy to be a part of their stories. You are a part of those stories as well. I also want to say thank you for your support and partnership in InterVarsity's ministry to college students here in the States. I am so grateful to this church body for your generosity through prayer and financial giving to support the work the Lord is doing on campuses in the Carolinas. You are a blessing to so many students that you will never see or hear about, but who hear the gospel, deepen their discipleship, and follow Jesus into the world because of your partnership.
