The Latino Spirit at Alameda Center
During Hispanic Heritage Month, the halls of Alameda Center were filled with the sounds of music. The Viva Vallenato Cumbia Badass Accordion Band traversed the halls on each floor, spreading joy and uplifting spirits.

Dear Friends,

At Alameda Center, we take pride in our cultural diversity. We have created distinctive Indian and Hispanic Cultural Programs that offer our Indian and Hispanic residents a culturally familiar environment in which they can thrive. It is important to note that studies have shown that a patient's health and cognitive status improves faster in an environment that mimics 'one's home', and the use of medications is significantly decreased. Our multilingual caregivers speak the language of our residents, as well as the language of the heart. Caring, compassionate, and dedicated to our residents' wellbeing, they go above and beyond the call of duty!

I would be remiss not to give a special shout-out to our outstanding Therapy Team, acclaimed for getting individuals back on their feet and on the road to recovery.

Best Wishes,
Sheila Coleman, Administrator
