Phone Messages Must Be Addressed within 72 Hours, Per AAPHC Policy

A Message from Dr. Edward Vance, CMO:

Please remember that Providers must answer their Phone Messages within 72 hours.

AAPHC's BUS-110 Policy "Timely Completion of Telephone and Web Encounters in the EHR" specifies that Phone Messages should be addressed by a Provider within 72 hours.

I am sending out this reminder because the Patient Service Center has been overwhelmed with repeat phone calls from our patients calling back multiple times for the same requests.

Please try to prioritize answering Medication Refill requests first since these are the majority of the calls. Also, please remember that if you were the patient that you would want your medication refilled as soon as possible.

Please review the BUS-110 Policy on SharePoint.  You can access the policy HERE.

Sincerely,

Edward Vance, M.D.,

Chief Medical Officer

Patient Service Center Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Patient Service Center staff decorated a tree with honorary ribbons of family members, friends, and co-workers’ names that have/had breast cancer.

"Special recognition goes out to our own Mrs. Margaret King who is a SURVIVOR for over 21 years. Greta, as she loves to be called, was diagnosed when she was only 23 years old. She is small in stature and big in heart, integrity, and determination," says Carolyn Maddox, PSC Manager.

It's this love and support that makes AAPHC so special! We really are one big family!
