Celebrating Our 30th Anniversary

On February 14, 1988, Doctors Care opened its doors with a mission to provide access to health care for the medically underserved in the community. Through the years, Doctors Care expanded and adapted our services to provide integrated medical, dental and behavioral health care along with programs that address socio-economic barriers to health for those in need. Today, Doctors Care is a well-established organization with 30 years of continuous dedication to our mission of access to health care and well-being for all.

Thank you to our 30th Anniversary Sponsors  (click to view ) who have generously given their support to mark this milestone anniversary. This funding helps ensure that quality services and compassionate care for those in need continue into the future.

Clinic Expansion

Recently, Doctors Care seized an opportunity to align mission with financial sustainability through a new clinic expansion project. The new initiative supports key strategic goals including  increased access to healthcare for uninsured and Medicaid recipients.

Clinic expansion is comprised of three components:
- Expanding patient age limit from 35 to 50 years old
- Recruitment and retention of patients
- Growth through Medicaid attribution

Doctors Care implemented age expansion on July 1 to help develop the clinic's capacity and treat older patients. This was done in conjunction with new Medicaid enrollment attribution, which is expected to bring more overall and older patients to the clinic. Over the first few weeks, the number of new, unique patients over age 35 seen in the clinic confirms the need that exists in the community.

Growth through newly attributed patients and outreach campaigns to attract new patients will take place once the age increase impact is identified and stabilized.
