February 2023

Vol. 2, Issue 2

It's that time of year again - February means love is in the air! It takes a very special person to do what you do, consistently showing your students how much you care day in and day out. As a school nurse, you have the opportunity to make such a difference in the lives of our children, and you do that and so much more every single day. On behalf of everyone at Children’s of Alabama, thank you for being there for your students when they need you most. We know they are the reason you do what you do, and you do it so well - you truly are the heart of our schools!

The Monthly Spotlight

Part Two: Love Others

Last month we focused on loving ourselves and how important self care is for our overall health. This month we are going to shift our focus to loving others. One small way we can do that is through encouragement. Billy Ivey is a writer who spreads love and encouragement through simple notes written on paper towels which he calls Napkinisms. Please join us in listening to his story, and let it inspire you to spread love and encouragement to those around you. From the words of Billy Ivey himself, "Even a small message written in love will find where it needs to be.”
