January 2023

Vol. 2, Issue 1

Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and enjoyed some much needed time away from school. There's nothing like a new year - it gives us an opportunity to start fresh. Some of us make New Year's resolutions, while others do not - no matter how you chose to start the new year, we are so grateful to be a part of your journey. From everyone at Children's of Alabama, thank you for continuing to be the heart of our schools. We look forward to seeing what 2023 has in store!

The Monthly Spotlight

Part One: Love Yourself

This month we are featuring part one of a two part series: Love Yourself & Love Others. As a school nurse, you are constantly putting the needs of your students at the forefront, and for that we commend you. Sometimes we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and forget how important self care is to our overall health and well-being.1 Even small acts of self-care can have big impacts on your daily life.2 Please join us in listening to an encouraging message from Lou Lacey, Director of Emotional Wellness at Children's of Alabama. Let's explore how we can take care of ourselves in such an everchanging environment.
