Alabama Poison Information Center - APIC

The Alabama Poison Information Center at Children's of Alabama has been serving the people of Alabama since 1958, offering free and confidential poison information and treatment recommendations to the public and health care providers 24 hours a day. Call the 24/7 hotline 1-800-222-1222 for poison advice for all ages.

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has great resources and videos on poison prevention - from acetaminophen safety to medication disposal. Watch their videos here.

Think First Alabama is part of a National Injury Prevention Foundation dedicated to preventing brain, spinal cord and other traumatic injuries. This program is available to your school FREE of charge, and is designed to provide age appropriate injury prevention education for children of all ages.
