Breaking Ground: Centro De Bienestar

A NEW HOME FOR HEALTH, WELLNESS, AND COMMUNITY

CHT Staff and Partners Celebrate Groundbreaking

Community Health Trust (CHT) celebrated a milestone years in the making — the official groundbreaking of Centro De Bienestar (CDB)!

This moment reaches far beyond the start of a new building. It represents the progress across our programs, the power of our partnerships, and the people who make this work possible every day.

Centro De Bienestar will bring CHT’s Food, Wellness, and Care programs together under one roof, creating a welcoming space where individuals and families can access support, connect, and thrive.

CDB will be part of a broader Healthy Living & Wellness Campus, alongside our partners Somos Watsonville and allcove™ Watsonville — a shared vision for a healthier, stronger Pajaro Valley community.

Be a community health ally by contributing to this community-driven, collaborative effort of holistic health! Donate today and help bring Centro De Bienestar to life.

Active Wellness on the Move
NEW TIMES, NEW LOCATIONS, SAME FUN ENERGY

Our Active Wellness program started strong and continues to grow, becoming a favorite way for community members to connect through Zumba, Yoga, and Mat Pilates.

With construction now underway at Centro de Bienestar, we’re moving classes to Pinto Lake City Park and our Kathleen King Community Room so the momentum can continue!

Sessions are held throughout the week, with both morning and afternoon options to fit your schedule. Whether you’re a seasoned participant or just starting, these classes are designed to energize your body, calm your mind, and connect you with your community.

Check out our full schedule and find the class that works best for you on our events calendar.

Growth Begins at Flodberg Park
NEW COMMUNITY GARDEN - OPENING SPRING 2026!

Construction is underway at the Flodberg Park Community Garden, with completion expected in Spring 2026. This space will soon provide neighbors with a place to grow fresh food, share knowledge, and connect.

The garden will feature 25 beds available for rent at $25 per quarter, along with access to seeds, starter plants, and workshops on gardening and nutrition.

Through this project, we continue to expand food access while creating spaces where our community can grow and connect.

For more information about our Community Gardens program, please contact Gustavo Indarose at gindarose@pvhealthtrust.org.

Market Incentive: Double the Benefits
FRESH FOOD, HEALTHY FAMILIES, COMMUNITY SPIRIT

Our Market Incentive program helps families turn every dollar of CalFresh/EBT benefits into more fresh fruits and vegetables while supporting local farmers. Shoppers receive $2 in market tokens for every $1 spent, making food more accessible and creating a stronger, more connected community.

CHT is currently offering the match at the Watsonville Farmers’ Market on Fridays from 2 - 7 PM at the City Plaza and will expand this incentive to El Mercado in the spring.
