LETTER FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Howdy,

The season of giving is here, and Precinct 3 is ready to lend a hand! Whether you’re interested in donating items or volunteering your time, there are plenty of ways to join us in giving back this season.

Throughout this month, you can stop by any Precinct 3 community center, Jesse Jones Park, or Mercer Botanic Gardens to find a Christmas drive to support. If you prefer a more hands-on way to help, these same locations offer volunteer opportunities — a wonderful way to meet neighbors, make new friends, and strengthen our community.

In addition to supporting Christmas drives and volunteer opportunities, our commitment to you as public servants continues into the winter season. Precinct 3 has been coordinating with nonprofits to ensure they're ready to go for Thanksgiving food drives. We're also volunteering time with groups like MetroNational to help pack 50,000 Thanksgiving meals for children in need. Even with these efforts, our crews are tuning up our brine trucks and preparing materials to winterize facilities, ensuring we’re ready to keep serving you no matter what the season brings.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve you all. Your continued support makes all the difference. Together, we can make Harris County even better!

Thank you,

Commissioner Tom Ramsey
