LETTER FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Howdy, Neighbors!

November is here – giving us an opportunity to slow down, spend time with family and friends, and think about what matters most. It's also a time to look beyond ourselves and find ways to make a difference in the lives of others.

Precinct 3 is excited to celebrate the season with you. From fall festivities and family-friendly events to year-round programs at our incredible community centers, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and make memories. I encourage you to explore what's happening throughout the precinct and take advantage of these resources.

This season also serves as a reminder of what public service is all about. I'm grateful for the dedicated Precinct 3 employees, first responders, volunteers, and community partners who continue showing up for our residents, often behind the scenes and even through the holidays. To us, public service is more than a job - it's a commitment to the community we call home.

If you’re looking to give back, stop by any Precinct 3 community center, Mercer Botanic Gardens, or Jesse H. Jones Park. We have incredible volunteer groups ready to welcome you with open arms. Looking to benefit a good cause? Ask about the various donation drives happening at those facilities, too.

Thank you for staying engaged with the Precinct. Your involvement makes all the difference.

Wishing you a wonderful start to the holiday season,

Commissioner Tom Ramsey

HELP OUR NATION'S HEROES

THIS CHRISTMAS⭐

We owe our freedom to the men and women of our U.S. military. This is why Precinct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey is partnering with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to help homeless veterans with essential items they need at the Houston-area Veterans Village.

Here's how you can help:

TREASCHWIG BRIDGE UNDERWAY 🏗️

Precinct 3 continues work along Treaschwig Road by converting a 2-lane to 4-lane roadway from west of Cypress Creek to east of Birnam Wood Boulevard, which includes the construction of a 500-foot-long bridge across Cypress Creek. This $17M project is anticipated for completion by summer 2027.

REMEMBERING CHERYL HENRY

AND ANDY ATKINSON 🕊️

It was a beautiful day at Susan C. Kellner Pocket Park, as we gathered alongside families and the Crime Stoppers of Houston at the We Remember Memorial bench dedication to honor and remember Cheryl Henry and Andy Atkinson.

It was such a great opportunity to celebrate their lives, cherish their memories and recognize the impact they continue to have on those who loved them. 💙
