LETTER FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Howdy Neighbors,

As the fall season settles into Harris County, I hope you and your family are taking time to enjoy the weather from Friday night football to pumpkin patches and festivals across Precinct 3.

While many are thinking about cooler weather and upcoming holidays, my team continues working hard on the essentials that keep our community running smoothly: safer roads, cleaner ditches, and well-maintained parks.

Last month, my colleagues and I successfully passed a balanced budget that prioritizes those needs, including fully funding the Flood Control District and achieving pay parity to keep officers patrolling Harris County streets. This is a big win to ensuring safer neighborhoods for Precinct 3 and Harris County.

This month, we’re celebrating progress across Precinct 3 — tackling homelessness, improving infrastructure, and offering fun, family-friendly programming — all while being good stewards of your tax dollars. Focusing on the basics isn’t just good governance; it’s common-sense governance.

As always, thank you for staying engaged and informed.

See you out in the community,

Commissioner Tom Ramsey

MAINTENANCE UNDERWAY FOR LITTLE CYPRESS CREEK

We're partnering with Flood Control

to strengthen the channel

Precinct 3 is teaming up with Harris County Flood Control on critical maintenance near Spring Cypress and Telge Road. This works to strengthen the channel by repairing severe erosion in the Little Cypress Creek tributary. Work began this month and is expected to take six months. Please note that the trail access over the tributary will be temporarily closed during construction.

This investment means:

✅Stabilized channel banks

✅Repaired collapsed sections

✅Improved safety and function for the community
