PURGATORY SKIBIKER – X

ASA MEMBERS/RACERS,

Greetings from the American SkiBike Association (ASA) Board. Recently the ASA received an email from Management at Purgatory Ski Resort discussing the upcoming race. As you know the racecourse and banked features are dependent on Mother Nature providing enough snow to build the necessary features for the race course. Unfortunately, Purgatory has not received the snow level that is required to build the caliber of a course that we all rode and raced on last year. Due to the lack of snow, Ski Area Management has informed us that they will not be able to build us a racecourse. 

As many of you are in the process of making reservations and plans for next month’s race, the ASA Board felt it would be best to cancel this year’s race and hopefully mitigate any significant cash outlays by attendees. We are FULLY committed to a race next season at Purgatory and hope the snowfall pattern will be more favorable next year.

For those of you looking to race we are still moving forward with Nordic Valley SkiBiker-X and Jump Jam on February 1^st and 2^nd, 2025. Race details and sign-ups can be found at AmericanSkiBike.com. Please come and join us at this 3^rd Annual Event.

Finally, we are in closing discussions with Arizona Snowbowl for their 1^st ever SkiBiker-X and Jump Jam on March 15^th and 16^th, 2025. Come on out and be a part of History at this FIRST ever SkiBike race. Registration for this event will be opened soon at AmericanSkiBike.com.

Again, we are saddened to be canceling such a great event at Purgatory but will be praying that the snow gods provide the goods for all of us next year!
