News from Northeast.

  • Long Island Campus - The College's new proposed Long Island campus location anticipates opening and offering another branch our renowned Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) program in the 2024-2025 academic year*. The planned new campus, based in Northeast’s current health center location in Levittown, will offer the same fully accredited D.C. program for which the College is known, adding in even more use of cutting-edge technology to support coursework and hands-on labs. We are proud to return to the New York metro area, and to ensure that the world’s top chiropractic education is even more accessible for tomorrow’s healthcare leaders.

*NOTE: The establishment and opening of Northeast College’s Long Island campus are contingent on pending regulatory approvals and are not confirmed nor guaranteed at this time.

  • New Programs - After over a century of delivering exemplary graduate healthcare programs, we are proud to share that our College is now officially authorized by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) to not only continue to provide outstanding graduate education but to also offer undergraduate programs in the health sciences. With that, our new AAS in Radiologic Technology, AAS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Massage Therapy Certificate program, and B.S. in Healthcare Administration (online) programs have been approved! Our physician assistant studies program is moving through development as well. Here’s to reimagining health and transforming lives, at every level.

  • ACA Engage 2024 - ACA's Engage 2024 is fast approaching and we are excited to be sending perhaps our largest delegation of students, faculty, and administration EVER! Our sincere thanks to those who generously contributed to our fundraiser in support of student attendance at ACA Engage 2024. With your help we were able to exceed our $5,000 fundraising goal!!! Thank you! Along with their faculty mentors, Northeast College D.C. students will be advocating with the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate on your behalf. We are so proud of these amazing future leaders of our profession!

In Memoriam.

Peter J. Szakacs (D.C. '78)

Tell alumnus "Dr. Pete" that he couldn’t do something, and he would prove you wrong. Tell him he couldn’t x-ray patients, and he went on to help change NY's antiquated “lumbar x-ray law.” Tell him he’s going to be disabled after a motor vehicle accident, and he fought back to health, returning to practice to help others do so too. He served as one of college's Board of Trustees and a NYSCA district president, and was a staunch advocate for chiropractic practicing in NY, PA, and FL. Dr. Szakacs unexpectedly passed away on May 28, 2023.

Mr. Menzo Case

Longtime Board of Trustees member Mr. Menzo Case passed away on October 13, 2023, after a brief illness.

Mr. Case was president and chief executive officer of Generations Bank. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and has an extensive record of service in the Seneca Falls and Finger Lakes communities and was named Seneca County Chamber of Commerce’s 2019 Citizen of the Year. Perhaps most importantly, Mr. Case was also a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Keith A. Wells, D.C., M.A.

Beloved Northeast College faculty member and CE instructor Dr. Keith Wells passed away on January 26, 2023. He started his teaching career at Southern California university of Health sciences

Los Angeles College of Chiropractic where he served both as a professor and department chair before moving to the Finger Lakes region. In addition to his D.C. degree and two Master's degrees, he had numerous publications and served as a guest lecturer on ethics, spirituality, and morality.
