Language evolves over time and in a variety of ways. Our latest blog explores how the term "queer" has been reclaimed, particularly by younger generations, as a form of protest and resistance to the pressure to conform or categorize to one identity.
From gay and lesbian to LGBT to LGBTQAI+ and so on, our movement continues to widen and strengthen our big tent of acceptance, often driven by a new generation of advocates and emerging leaders. Now, "queer" has become a symbol of defiance and empowerment, and more and more, it is becoming a political statement reflecting one's agency.
We hope you'll enjoy reading more and exploring how our community continues to evolve, adapt and celebrate diverse identities and expressions!
