Something to Ponder

From the Revelation to John Chapter 21:1-6
"See, the home of God is among mortals.
He will dwell with them as their God;
they will be his peoples,
and God himself will be with them;
he will wipe every tear from their eyes.
Death will be no more;
mourning and crying and pain will be no more,
for the first things have passed away."
"See, I am making all things new."
"Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true."
"It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give water as a gift from the spring of the water of life."
I have been told all is possible with God. I know by my life that this is true. The clear proof is Jesus was sent to be with us by God and Jesus said “God is in he and he is in God” – YES they are one. The Revelation to John confirms that mortal life begins with the Alpha and ends with the Omega. However the spirit lives and in that spirit I believe we find resurrection.
We are Christians and Eastertide is our season to rejoice in life eternal.
The Reverend Steven Shakespeare writes;
“God of glory,
whose Beloved took the shadow road
and found life in the darkness:
may his love be our law,
undimmed by the fear
that condemns what it does not understand;
slipping through the hands
of those who cling to sacred power;
making us witness
to the power of new birth;
through Jesus Christ, the Firstborn.”

Del Apocalipsis a Juan, capítulo 21:1-6
"Miren, la morada de Dios está entre los mortales.
Él morará con ellos como su Dios;
ellos serán su pueblo,
y Dios mismo estará con ellos;
enjugará toda lágrima de sus ojos.
La muerte ya no existirá;
no habrá más llanto, ni clamor, ni dolor,
porque las primeras cosas han pasado."
"Miren, yo hago nuevas todas las cosas."
"Escribe esto, porque estas palabras son fieles y verdaderas."
"¡Hecho está! Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, el principio y el fin. Al que tenga sed le daré agua gratuitamente de la fuente del agua de la vida."
Me han dicho que todo es posible con Dios. Sé por mi propia experiencia que esto es cierto. La prueba clara es que Jesús fue enviado por Dios para estar con nosotros y Jesús dijo: "Dios está en él y él está en Dios". SÍ, son uno. El Apocalipsis de Juan confirma que la vida mortal comienza con el Alfa y termina con la Omega. Sin embargo, el espíritu vive, y en ese espíritu creo que encontramos la resurrección.
Somos cristianos y la Pascua es nuestra época para regocijarnos en la vida eterna.

Purpose of Red Cards
All people in the United States, regardless of immigration status, have certain rights and protections under the U.S. Constitution. The ILRC’s Red Cards help people assert their rights and defend themselves in many situations, such as when ICE agents go to a home.
Print Your Own
The artwork for printing your own cards is available at the bottom of this page. These are formatted as standard 3.5” by 2” business cards. Any print or copy shop should be able to work from these files. Translated versions are designed to support monolingual immigrants translate their rights with immigration officers. We strongly recommend printing these with rounded corners and a coated finish for durability. You can also print them on your own personal printer.
St. Paul's Church will have a ready supply on hand for you to help with distribution.

St. Paul’s Family Souper Café provides a monthly Saturday lunch to 40-60 people in our neighborhood with activities for children. The Café complements the work of St. Paul’s Community Development Corporation’s Food Pantry by providing a fresh, nutritious meal in our Parish Hall. Our volunteer team includes parish members and neighbors. In November we are joined by Christ Church, Teaneck, the St. Paul’s CDC and several other partners to provide a Thanksgiving luncheon for more than 500 people.
This year St. Paul’s joyfully marks ten years of the Souper Family Café.
We welcome volunteers in many roles as we not only share a meal, but also provide listening ears, crafts for children as well as adults and a time of peace and reflection.

Diapers are an essential need in the City of Paterson. With a growing population contending with food insecurity items for infants and toddlers is an associated need. This program, developed during the COVID 19 Pandemic and stay-in-place orders, provides diapers and wipes to anyone with proof of need. Clients are able to receive services monthly, usually every Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 AM to 1:30 PM (please call ahead to confirm).
Los pañales son una necesidad esencial en la Ciudad de Paterson. Con una población en crecimiento que se enfrenta a la inseguridad alimentaria, los artículos para bebés y niños pequeños son una necesidad asociada. There is a culture in our nation that promotes violence and carnage due to the lack of a nationwide gun law and the banning of semi automatic weapons being available to anyone other than the US Armed Forces. Yesterday Wednesday September 4th there was another fatal school shooting. The Right Reverend Robert Wright, Bishop of the Diocese of Atlanta Georgia offered the following prayer in response to Wednesday's shooting and death of two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School.
“Gracious God, our strength and consolation, be present with our children and their families at Apalachee High School. Dispatch your angels to those families who have lost children and loved ones; help them to feel your love and care even at this dark hour. Heal those who have been hospitalized through the care of skilled professionals and restore them to health. Bless the first responders and law enforcement officers who run towards danger on our behalf. And finally, we pray for the one who committed this violence that they would repent and live the rest of their days as your healing instrument, this we pray in the name of Jesus, Lord and friend.” AMEN

St. Paul's is a gathered community of “all sorts and conditions" of people who are committed to the Christian life and witness in the urban setting of Paterson. We are Black, White, Hispanic, and Asian. We are native born and newcomers from many lands. We are young, old, and in between. We live in cities and suburbs. We are gay and straight, married and single. Some of us dress up for church, and others don't.
Through worship, outreach, education, parish life, pastoral care, and stewardship, our diverse community seeks to celebrate and proclaim God's justice and mercy; to live out the good news of God's kingdom for all people; and to be a healing sign that the things which divide us from each other may be overcome in the oneness of God.
All services include music, preaching, and an inclusive Eucharist. A nursery (with a loud speaker to follow the service) is available near the baptismal font for parents with restless infants. Additional parking is available in the Walgreen’s and AutoZone lots facing Van Houten Street.
Once again, if you are visiting us, we welcome you. Holy Scripture tells us, "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unaware." We receive you as one who has a message for us, and we trust that you will find the spirit of Christ in our midst.
