Happy Labour Day Weekend!

September often brings us back to familiar routines, reconnecting with classroom friends, and the opportunity to start something new. Quilters Cupboard has all of these things in store for you this month!

In the Classroom

Our classroom schedule is jam-packed for the coming months with classes ranging from half day, full day, multiple days to Club Classes that run the full semester from September to December. Our enthusiastic and talented instructors love to share their knowledge, skills and creativity on everything from hand work, machine piecing, free motion quilting to applications of specialty rulers. The class registration has been brisk over the summer and we've added extra dates for those that filled up quickly. The following classes are running and have seats available. We'd love to have you join one or more of them!

Saturday Morning Sampler

Make Saturday Morning Sampler part of your new routine!

This program is available in person (in-store) and virtually (recorded). Everyone, from anywhere, is welcome to join. If you cannot or choose to not attend in person, you will receive the pattern and recording of the instruction by email.

We'd love to have quilters from coast to coast to coast (and beyond!) participate.

Judy Graham will be the instructor and the pattern is beginner friendly. Use the fabric or your choice - make it in a single colourway or make it scrappy. Each month when we meet for class we encourage everyone to bring their finished block(s) from the prevous month as it's so intriquing to see the same block in multiple colourways.

We will have time for Show and Share after the instruction segment of the program as well as door prizes and other surprises!

Register Now - Program Starts Saturday, September 26th

Demo Day - Friday, September 25th; starts at 10 AM

Marilyn will show you how to

Get Out of a Bind and Get Around Those Curves with Ease

Everyone is welcome to bring an item or two for Show and Share - let's see what you've been up to over the summer.

Note that Demo Day will be held on Friday only for September.

No registration required.

From Your Beloved Editor .....

As the days get shorter and fall approaches my thoughts turn to the annual task of cleaning out the shed beside the parking lot. The shed serves very little store-related purpose but does serve as a store house for a year's worth of squirrel activity. Squirrels - natures original hoarders! Thousands of nuts, cones and twigs, as well as piles of grass and what looks like fibreglass insulation (where'd that come from?) have been stashed away for possible future use, or maybe just to annoy me. My work is never done!

Don't forget to register for The Quilted Stash trunk show on November 5th.

From your slightly less beloved Assistant Editor ......

What's with all the animals featured in this week's new fabrics? Other than "Dogs In Sweaters" do we need all this? A quilt to remind you of snuggling up to your pet bear? Or your skittish, possibly neurotic pet deer? Or your moose? What do moose even do? "Moose In Sweaters" - there's an idea that won't catch on! Or will it?

Enjoy the week.
