Dear Ones,
I pray you are well today.
It is hard to believe that we are almost to March already - wasn't it just New Year's?? But it means that now Lent is underway, our Lenten program and book study have launched, and preparations for Holy Week are in full swing. I hope that the prayer practice from Sunday's sermon time (that you created yourself!) is nurturing your ability to observe a Holy Lent.
I am glad and grateful to say that in the midst of all this, The RE-Humanization Project has been growing. We now have teams that focus on: prayer, education, evangelism, and mobilization. We are looking ahead to Prophetic Nonviolence Training, to having more of us in our Trinity t-shirts, and partnering with more of our fellow faith communities for service, action, and prayer. We can now be found at www.trinitycathedral.com/human and you can reach the project at human@trinitycathedral.com.
We've found that there are groups that really like the language and mission of what we're doing, so we're now offering something of a "chapter" model - if a group or church wanted to also engage in The RE-Humanization Project, they can launch a chapter of it in their context, following the model that we've launched here at Trinity. We will always be the birthplace of this movement and so the structure should coincide with ours. Our webpage has information for those interested in creating a chapter.
You'll also see on the webpage, a prayer for these times we are in that our prayer team created. We commend it to you. And as you have all so generously engaged in, our pantry continues to grow for our siblings in Christ who have need. We're building the relationships now to help share these donations of yours and I'll give you more data as that plays out.
In the main, I just wanted to say clearly: you are making a difference. And the work of these teams - to take on RE-humanizing others and ourselves from many angles - is growing and we are continuing in our faithful response to the dehumanization of so many. Thank you.
The group meets every 1st & 3rd Sunday at 11:15am in Atwood Hall and all are welcome. There's never a 'too late' to join our labors to love our neighbors as ourselves. I look forward to seeing you there!

Espero que hoy se encuentren bien.
Es difícil creer que ya casi estamos en marzo, ¿no era Año Nuevo hace nada? Pero eso significa que ya ha comenzado la Cuaresma, que hemos puesto en marcha nuestro programa cuaresmal y nuestro estudio de libros, y que los preparativos para la Semana Santa están en pleno apogeo. Espero que la práctica de oración del sermón del domingo (¡que ustedes mismos crearon!) esté alimentando su capacidad para observar una Santa Cuaresma.
Me alegra y agradezco decir que, en medio de todo esto, el Proyecto de Rehumanización ha ido creciendo. Ahora contamos con equipos que se centran en: la oración, la educación, la evangelización y la movilización. Esperamos con interés la formación en no violencia profética, que más personas lleven nuestras camisetas de Trinity y colaborar con más comunidades religiosas para el servicio, la acción y la oración. Ahora pueden encontrarnos en www.trinitycathedral.com/human y pueden ponerse en contacto con el proyecto en human@trinitycathedral.com.
Hemos descubierto que hay grupos a los que les gusta mucho el lenguaje y la misión de lo que hacemos, por lo que ahora ofrecemos una especie de modelo de «capítulo»: si un grupo o una iglesia también quiere participar en el Proyecto RE-Humanización, puede poner en marcha un capítulo en su contexto, siguiendo el modelo que hemos lanzado aquí en Trinity. Siempre seremos la cuna de este movimiento, por lo que la estructura debe coincidir con la nuestra. Nuestra página web contiene información para aquellos interesados en crear un capítulo.
También encontrarán en la página web una oración para estos tiempos que estamos viviendo, creada por nuestro equipo de oración. Se la recomendamos. Y gracias a la generosa participación de todos ustedes, nuestra despensa sigue creciendo para nuestros hermanos en Cristo que lo necesitan. Ahora estamos estableciendo las relaciones necesarias para ayudar a compartir sus donaciones y les daré más información a medida que se vayan desarrollando.
En general, solo quería decir claramente: ustedes están marcando la diferencia. Y el trabajo de estos equipos, que consiste en rehumanizar a los demás y a nosotros mismos desde muchos ángulos, está creciendo y seguimos respondiendo fielmente a la deshumanización de tantas personas. Gracias.

Concert This Sunday! March 1 at 4pm
Layali Al-Sham is a dynamic performance ensemble that celebrates the rich musical traditions of Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA). An ASU community-engaged ensemble, Layali Al-Sham offers an immersive exploration of diverse styles and cultural contexts. Members develop performance technique, collaborate in masterclasses, share their talents in concert, and engage with local, national, and international communities through music. This free concert is sponsored by Don Swierenga.

Lenten Book Study began last night - still time to participate
How we Learn to be Brave: Decisive Moments in Life and Faith by Mariann Budde, Bishop of Washington
Join Deacons Myra Kingsley and Michael Smithson for soup and conversation every Wednesday, beginning February 25th through March 25th, at 5:30 pm in Atwood Hall. Look for the sign-up sheet in Olney Gallery. Please sign up to bring soup or bread for our meal. We will have a limited number of copies of the book available for purchase ($23). It is also available as an ebook or audiobook, with narration by Bishop Budde, from the usual retailers. If you would like to participate, but the cost of the book is a barrier, please ask clergy about scholarship options!

Amy Menousek & Meera Norris present “Unbound,” a show about unconstrained resilience.
Amy Menousek is a fiber and mixed-media artist. Repurposed objects, including wedding dresses, are dismantled and stripped of imposed meanings, reclaiming them as symbols of resistance. “Through acts of cutting and stitching, I reclaim 'women’s work' as a labor of power rather than obedience.” Menousek is a member of the Five15Arts Collective. She has a BFA in Metals and Jewelry from Arcadia University. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows within Pennsylvania and Arizona.
Meera Norris is an American portraitist and interdisciplinary artist. Norris uses art to question inherited systems while honoring resilience and the sacredness of life. This series is called “Birds of the Sanctuary” and explores bird migration as a reflection of human migration. Norris has a Master's in Global Family and Child Public Health from the University of Arizona, and integrates her public health expertise into her artistic practice. Norris has shown her work throughout Arizona since 2021.

Amy Menousek y Meera Norris presentan «Unbound», una exposición sobre la resiliencia sin límites.
Amy Menousek es una artista que trabaja con fibras y técnicas mixtas. Los objetos reutilizados, incluidos los vestidos de novia, se desmontan y se despojan de los significados impuestos, recuperándolos como símbolos de resistencia. «A través de actos de cortar y coser, reclamo el «trabajo de las mujeres» como una labor de poder en lugar de obediencia». Menousek es miembro del colectivo Five15Arts. Tiene una licenciatura en Bellas Artes en Metales y Joyería por la Universidad de Arcadia. Su obra ha sido expuesta en exposiciones individuales y colectivas en Pensilvania y Arizona.
Meera Norris es una retratista y artista interdisciplinar estadounidense. for goodwill among nations, and for the well-being of all people. We pray for our President and for the Congress, the Cabinet, and the Supreme Court. We pray for justice and peace, particularly in Venezuela, Gaza, Israel, and in Ukraine & Russia, in Sudan and in the Congo, and in our United States.
We ask your prayers for the poor,
the sick, the hungry, the oppressed, and those in prison, particularly those who are being removed from this country without due process and those being removed in spite of being in legal immigration processes as well as experiencing violence in their removal.
We commend to your mercy all who have died, particularly those who have died in ICE custody in the past year, that your will for them may be fulfilled; and we pray that we may share with all your saints in your eternal kingdom.
We pray for: Jill, Marge, Ahiezer and Sarah, Pat and Lynn, Roxie, Verna, Jude, Lenora, Ron, Dennis, Thomas, Dale, Dyane, Ryan, and Kathleen.

Encomendamos a tu misericordia todos que han muerto, especialmente aquellos que han fallecido bajo custodia del ICE en el último año, que tu desea para ellos estará completado; y oremos que todos nosotros compartimos con todos los santos en tu reino .
