Shaking the Stigma of Epilepsy


Thanks to brain surgery, Cassandra POTICHNYJ’07 is two years free of epileptic seizures.


But she recalls every detail. How they start: the sudden aura, the pleasant tingling, the

exhilaration. Then how, as she describes in her new children’s book, My Shaky World:


“Like an electrical zap, my brain lights up so bright,

I shake and fall and my muscles get very tight.”

Hubie YU’08 chose to extend her legacy at Branksome Hall by securing a place on the school's new Alum Donor Wall. Slingshot Registration


Registration is now open for Branksome Hall’s Slingshot Innovation Academy summer programs, designed to inspire bold thinking and innovation in young minds aged 13–16. In collaboration with top global startup incubators DMZ and AI experts from SureStart, participants will explore AI technologies, develop entrepreneurial and leadership skills, and build prototypes while working alongside industry mentors to tackle real-world challenges.


Programs run from July 7–18 and August 11–22.
