Dharma for Your Day |
Transmission, Continuation, Aspiration
What are we made of? What do we transmit to the future, and to the world? How do we connect to our ancestors, understand them, and see how we continue them? How can we practice, so that our practice is an "offering of the heart"?
Sister Dao Nghiem explores these questions in this rich and personal Dharma talk. You can enjoy this talk in our new library on the Plum Village website or via our Listen Podcast.

Mindfulness for Children

During a typical summer, Plum Village monasteries host hundreds of families that come with their children to practice mindfulness.
We offer you a selection of Plum Village practices such as Pebble Meditation and Inviting the Bell created or adapted especially for children.
You can also enjoy a letter from Thich Nhat Hanh to children entitled The Miraculous Leaves. Written in 1987, it describes experiences of appreciating the beauty of nature which can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

In this 12-minute guided meditation, Brother Phap Linh invites us to "switch on every cell" in our body.
By reconnecting with our bodies, we can take a break from our thinking mind and take time to replenish ourselves.

Deer Park Monastery Monks on Tour
Happiness is the Way: Road Retreat 2021
This summer, three of Deer Park Monastery’s monks will travel 4500 miles in five weeks to visit local Sanghas in ten western states of the USA. The Happiness is the Way: Road Retreat provides a wonderful opportunity to practice with your monastic siblings, share practice experiences, and build siblinghood.
According to Brother Ngo Khong (aka Brother Freedom) “After a year of uncertainty, solitude and various limitations that might have even deepened and strengthened our practice, we want to come together again to share our experiences of practice, bask in each other’s presence, and build siblinghood.” |
The Road Retreat starts in Phoenix on August 12th and concludes in San Francisco on September 19th. The three brothers will travel in an RV, dubbed “Dharma Wheelzz”. Each stop is hosted by a local Sangha. The activities range from single to multi-day non-residential retreats to Sangha evenings. You are welcome to join as many of the stops as you are able.

August 5 - August 8
We invite you to 4 days of practice online together with the monks of Healing Spring Monastery and the nuns of Maison de l’Inspir.
This online retreat will create opportunities for connecting with each other, renewing the connection with the world around us, letting go of our anxiety and enjoying what is there.
The monastic brothers and sisters at our small and cosy centers near Paris invite you to join them for a few days for a summer retreat online, practicing sitting, walking and eating together as well as listening to dharma talks, questions and answers and having the chance to share in small circles.
In English and French. Most suitable for European and African time zones.
