"If you have a Sangha to take refuge in, then you will be supported in those moments when you feel down. The Sangha will embrace you, will support you, will encourage you, and with the Sangha you are again on the path." - Thich Nhat Hanh

An Opportunity for Right Livelihood
We’re Hiring! |
We’re happy to announce three open positions within the Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism (PVCEB).
Confidence can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job even though there’s no such thing as a “perfect” candidate. Parallax Press and the Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation are looking for exceptional and caring people who want to practice right livelihood, make a positive difference through their work, and help create an organization where everyone can thrive. So we encourage you to practice Thich Nhat Hanh’s teaching of “be beautiful, be yourself” and apply if this opportunity would make you excited to come to work every day.

The Rose Ceromony
On Saturday 8th of August, Plum Village Monastery, France held The Rose Ceremony.
The Rose Ceremony is the Plum Village community’s living, evolving expression of our gratitude to our parents. We had a chance to listen together to “A Rose for Your Pocket”, a prose poem written by Thich Nhat Hanh after the passing of his own mother. Woven through the passages of the poem, the community offered songs and other gifts from the heart to help touch the presence and love of our parents in the present moment and situation.
You can watch the recording of the ceremony here and see more photos here.
