A Family Affair!
On Friday, September 8, Ridgecroft celebrated Grandparents Day with an open house. After breakfast and a welcome from Headmaster Elton Winslow and Board Chairman Donny Lassiter, the halls were filled with Grannies, Grandpas, Meemaws and Pops as students showed their grandparents around their classrooms. The photo booth was also a big hit!

Date Change!
Due to a scheduling change from the opposing team, Ridgecroft Homecoming has been moved from Friday, September 29 to Friday, September 22. Please plan to come out for an exciting afternoon of soccer and the crowning of Ridgecroft's 2018 Homecoming Queen!.

A Few Good Men (and Women!)
On Tuesday, August 29, marine recruiters Staff Sergeant Joshua Brown and Private First Class Dylan Watkins (son of art teacher Krisie Watkins!) visited Ridgecroft to talk with upper school students about a career in the military. Classmates cheered as students took turns tackling the pull-up bar.

On September 13 at noon, join friends and fans of Ridgecroft Athletics at the annual Ridgecroft School Golf Tournament. The Four-man Superball tournament has an entry fee of $300 per team and all proceeds will benefit the Ridgecroft athletic program. Corporate and hole sponsorships are available. The Ridgecroft Athletic Association annual Homecoming BBQ fundraiser will be held on Friday, September 22.
Don't miss your chance to enjoy some of the best BBQ around! Plates cost $10 and include BBQ, slaw, green beans, potatoes, and a roll. Tickets are available in the front office or from any Athletic Association member. Delivery of bulk orders is available to area businesses. Just call the front office and let us know how many plates you would like and when they should arrive. Pints and quarts of BBQ will be available for sale, so it is the perfect time to stock your freezer!

Shining Stars!
The Ridgecroft Lower School has been selling stars to support Texas in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. So far they have collected over $416! There's still time to show your love and support for the Lone Star State by purchasing a star for $1. All proceeds will go to help the people of Texas rebuild their lives after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. Stars will be displayed on the lower school hall.

Get On Target!
On Saturday, September 23, the Ridgecroft Shooting Team will host a Range Day for any middle and upper school students interested in joining the team. The shooting team competes on the conference, district, and state levels in four events - riflery, shotgun, archery, and hunter skills - and aims to promote hunter education and firearm safety. During Range Day, students and parents will learn more about the team and students will have a chance to try their hand at the various events. Range Day will take place at 4:00 PM at the team's practice facility at 133 Archer Town Road in Cofield.
