2025-2026 CCSD Mobile Device Agreement, Acceptable Use Policy, Guidelines & Expectations
All courses at Marvin M. Sedway Middle School utilize Canvas LMS, an online learning management system (LMS), along with various other digital resources. For this reason, all scholars will have access to a charged, usable Chromebook or laptop inside each of their classes each day. Scholars may bring their own devices for use in class each day or choose to check out a Chromebook from Sedway to borrow for the entire 2025-2026 school year.
Your scholar can be issued a Sedway Chromebook at any time throughout the 2025-2026 school year upon request and completion of this form; however, we will conduct our initial school-wide Chromebook deployment to scholars on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, and Wednesday, August 27, 2025, during each scholar's English class.
Your scholar will not be issued a mobile device until this form is completed and submitted by a parent/guardian.
Please complete a separate form for each student attending Marvin M. Sedway during the 2025-2026 school year.

Cell Phones
To ensure a focused learning environment, students will be asked to place their cell phones inside a signal-blocking pouch during the instructional day. Phones used in classrooms or outside the signal-blocking pouch will be immediately confiscated. Phones confiscated in violation of these guidelines will be held in the Student Success Center until the end of the day. Review the complete Sedway Cell Phone Policy and the progressive discipline that will be implemented should additional offenses occur.
