The ReMarks

August 6, 2025

As the days turn cooler and the skies trade their summer blue for autumn gray, Saint Mark is moving forward by the wind and grace alike.

This Sunday is the ninth Sunday after Pentecost.

Gold star for the person who knows exactly how many Sundays after Pentecost there are in the liturgical calendar. The ninth Sunday represents themes of faith, unity, and transformation, with a special emphasis on global cooperation and unseen spiritual impact.

We'll be continuing The Church has Temporarily Left the Building sermon series.

Mark 10:17-27

Morning and Evening Prayers

This past Sunday, Pastor Charlotte included a morning prayer and evening prayer in her sermon. We invite you to incorporate these prayers in your daily time with God.

  • Morning Prayer: Lord, as I set out this day, may I sow in and from the Spirit.
  • Evening Prayer: Lord, help me examine the works I've done and the works I must do.

Kairo is still looking for a home

Nikki and Tiffany opened their home (and hearts) to Kairo, who came from a tough living situation. They have given him a safe and loving space, but he still needs a forever family. Kairo is ridiculously cute, full of charm, and steals hearts wherever he goes.

If you think he might be a good fit for your family, feel free to contact Tiffany Baltazar. She and Nikki are happy to arrange a meeting so that you can determine if Kairo is the right addition to your home. Kairo is:

  • 2 years old
  • Great with kids and other dogs
  • Fully vaccinated
  • House and potty trained
  • Loves playing fetch and squeaky toys

Tiffany and Nikki cannot keep him any longer due to space and time limits. Please pass this onto anyone you think would be interested.

Camp Meeting Days

Join us for Camp Meeting Days throughout August! Join us as we take time to pause, raise our voices, and celebrate the beauty of our faith through cherished hymns and relaxed attire.

Whether these songs have been part of your life for decades or you're hearing them for the first time, this service is designed to bring us together in gratitude, remembrance, and joy.

Lemonade will be served on the lawn (or in the hallway - weather depending) in between services.

All services will be on the Saint Mark campus.

Homecoming Sunday!

In the spirit of Camp Meeting Days, we're celebrating Homecoming Sunday on August 17th at 10AM! Please wear your best seersucker outfit.

Pastor Paula will be preaching and all former

Saint Mark pastors and members are invited to join us!

A church-wide lunch on the front lawn will follow the conclusion of 10AM Worship.

School Supply Drive Impact

Thank you to everyone who participated in our annual School Supply Drive. And thank you to everyone who wrote a letter of encouragement for teachers as they begin yet another exciting school year!

All school supplies have been lovingly relocated to their new home at Hope Hill Elementary, and Saint Mark successfully helped feed over 80 teachers and staff at Hope Hill on August 4, as they began the school year. As we gave them a blessing for a great school year, the teachers and staff gave a super warm thank you to everyone who participated!

Thank you, Saint Mark, for giving a great start to Hope Hill Elementary for the 2025-2026 school year!

Come pick up your t-shirts

t-shirt.

Upcoming Events

MEET OUR SET BUILDER!

In Steel Magnolias, Truvy's husband converted her carport garage into a salon so she could support him... but WE have to build this salon here in Atlanta!

Our amazing Pastor Paula is about to transform these renderings into the heart of Chinquapin Parish - Truvy's Beauty Spot! Pastor Paula is new in town and fits right in with all the ladies in the salon - after all, she appreciates a good beauty shop and has fabulous hair of her own! Turns out she's not just building up spirits on Sundays, she's building sets for Steel Magnolias too! From sermons to sawdust, Pastor Paula is bringing divine craftsmanship to our stage.

And speaking of building...WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to help bring this vision to life! Whether you're handy with tools or just want to be part of the magic, come join us!

Contact Mike Beecham to volunteer.
