The ReMarks

July 16, 2025

Saint Mark welcomes everyone. Saints, sinners, skeptics, and even folks who clap on the wrong beat.

Grace abounds - rhythm, debatable.

This Sunday is the sixth Sunday after Pentecost!

The sixth Sunday after Pentecost represents themes of

justice & spiritual alertness.

Pastor Paula will continue our sermon series The Church has Temporarily Left the Building. Last Sunday she preached about The Mission. This Sunday she will be preaching about

The Difference.

Sanctuary Renewal Update

We are approaching a season of renewal for the Sanctuary. For about eight Sundays, we will worship together in Wade Hall, creating a cozy, spirit-filled environment during this season of renewal.

Construction work is fluid and will likely face changes to our anticipated schedule. We have been informed that work in the Sanctuary will begin later into August. We are looking into how these updates will impact when we move worship from the Sanctuary into Wade Hall. As we continue to learn more about the timeline, we will keep you informed.

This Doggo Needs a Home!

Church family,

This is Kairo. Kairo came from a tough living situation, but through the kindness of others a loving space was opened up to him while the search for his forever family continued. Kairo is ridiculously cute, full of charm, and always stealing hearts wherever he goes.

If you think he might be a good fit for your family, a friend, or a neighbor, feel free to contact Tiffany Baltazar! Tiffany would be happy to see if Kairo would be a good fit.

Here are some things to know about Kairo:

  • 2 years old
  • Great with kids and other dogs
  • Fully vaccinated
  • House and potty trained
  • Loves playing fetch and squeaky toys

Kairo's current foster home cannot keep him any longer due to space and time limits. If you or someone you know can provide a loving home for Kairo, contact Tiffany Baltazar.

The Altar Guild Is Not Snoozing

Do you have a pair of king size pillow cases that you don't use anymore? Or they're an odd color or print that doesn't appeal to your bedroom aesthetic?

The Altar Guild needs 16 king size pillow cases to use in the Sanctuary Moving/Storage Project. The kneelers at the front of the Altar Rail fit perfectly inside a king size pillow case.

Please help the Altar Guild protect Saint Mark's beautiful kneelers by donating or loaning king size pillow cases.

Contact Amy Holloway to donate or loan your pillow cases.
