The ReMarks
October 21, 2026
| | This is your reminder. If you haven't picked a Halloween costume yet, the time is now. Load up on candy while you're at it. The trick-or-treaters are coming! But that's not the only thing that's coming, keep reading to find out what else you can expect in the not so distant future... | | |
*Drumroll*
Everyone, we have raised $150,950.
We've reached our goal!!
| | |
We could not have accomplished this without the generosity from everyone who supported the campaign.
Your contributions will empower us to finally Replace our Sanctuary Sound System, Secure our Church Campus with dependable key-card access, and Restore our historic Fifth Street Red Doors!
Thank you.

For some people, affordable homes are a dream. Saint Mark joined 80 other volunteers from various businesses and organizations to make those dreams come true. Two homes, that will be offered to their new owners at a 0% interest rate, were improved during the Pride Build last Saturday.
Thank you to everyone who showed up to assemble those homes, and thank you to those who provided lunch for everyone on the site that day!

| | Your Voice. Our Church. Our Future. | | |
Where is God calling Saint Mark next?
Following our recent Leadership Retreat, our church leaders will be inviting you into conversations about what makes Saint Mark special, what matters most, and our hopes for the future.
Every voice matters, including yours. Together, let’s listen, dream, and prayerfully discern what’s next for Saint Mark.
| | Support The Drama Ministry | | |
The Saint Mark Drama Ministry presents The Diary of Anne Frank. This powerful play is as relevant today as it ever has been. This work demonstrates how normal social exclusion, scapegoating, and institutional discrimination can escalate into mass violence when individuals and societies look the other way.
Performances are November 19, 20, and 21 at 7:30 PM & November 22 at 2:00 PM. Tickets are on sale now.
But before the curtain can open on The Diary of Anne Frank, the stage must be built! Stage construction happens on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, and Saturdays from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Anyone is welcome to join. Simply show up to the gymnasium on the third floor to participate. Pizza provided!
There are many ways to support the Drama Ministry; each of them offer their own unique reward.
| | Help Keep Saint Mark Seen and Heard! | | Saint Mark’s A/V team urgently needs volunteers! Our dedicated volunteers need more helping hands with sound, cameras, and captions for our weekly 11 a.m. services. You don’t have to serve in the balcony every week—just one Sunday a month would make a tremendous difference. Some roles require no experience, just a little tech savvy and a willingness to learn. Training is provided! Help make worship accessible in the sanctuary and online. Interested? See Matt McClure, Paul Spencer, Johnny Sims, or the church office. | | Wednesday Night Fellowship | |
Tonight's fellowship will feature small group discussions about the membership vow of presence.
The kitchen will serve pork chop loins, fresh vegetables, and dessert. Dinner begins at 5:30. Vespers and Handbells start at 6:30, choir rehearsal at 7:30.
The cost of dinner is $11 for adults, $10 for seniors, and young-adults (ages 18-35) can receive a complimentary meal as provided by the Young Adult Ministry budget.
Email office@stmarkumc.org to RSVP.

Think of Charge Conference not just as a business meeting, but as our church’s ultimate moment to gather, reflect, and look ahead. It is the official link that connects our unique congregation to the wider United Methodist Church family, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate everything God is doing in our community. It’s more than just reports and votes—it’s a moment of holy conferencing, shared vision, and joyful anticipation for where we are heading next.
