The REAL Data That Reveals All About the US-China Trade War
The trade and tariff war between the world’s two largest economies has kept us occupied for much of 2024 and 2025. Steam fair 2026 at Sunmarke
This year Sunmarke will have an eco-friendly steam fair. Contestants need to make an eco-friendly invention either as a prototype or a poster, app or PowerPoint presentation. This could range from eco cars posters to even an eco- farm presentation. These ideas would hopefully help raise awareness for the environment of Dubai. The steam fair will take place on the 21st of January 2026.

Introducing Hurricane Melissa: The Strongest Hurricane in 90 Years
Hurricane Melissa has become the most powerful storm to make landfall in 90 years, striking Jamaica with winds nearing 300 km/h. The last hurricane of similar strength was the 1935 Labour Day Hurricane in Florida. According to the NOAA, Melissa’s pressure dropped to 892 millibars, matching historic records. The Daring Heist Solved by Dubai Police
This one seems straight out of a thriller. On the 26th of October, two men were arrested on the way to the Dubai International Airport. The suspects had stolen AED 660,000 from a local supermarket. That’s right! (That’s a LOT of chocolate!) The policemen worked efficiently, fully recovering the money within two hours of the crime being reported. Yet another impressive display from our men in uniform assures us of our safety here!

Instagram is tightening its reins on teen safety. The platform will soon let parents block their kids from chatting with AI characters — a move that comes amid mounting fears about the emotional toll of AI on young users. The decision follows a string of alarming reports and lawsuits linking chatbot interactions to teen distress and even suicide. With these new parental controls, Meta aims to prove it’s finally listening to parents and lawmakers.

NASA spots a spooky face glowing on the sun just in time for Halloween
The Sun appeared to have gotten into the Halloween spirit. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) captured an eerie image of our star on October 28, resembling a cosmic jack-o’-lantern grinning toward Earth. The dark “mouth” and “eyes” are not merely patterns of light — they mark vast coronal holes, regions on the Sun’s surface where magnetic fields open up, allowing charged particles to stream freely into space.
