Regulation and Tax Cuts and Tax Reform will make America Grow again!
Paychecks will be larger and this will spur the economy, create more jobs, and actually generate more government income as a smaller piece of a much bigger pie is actually larger.
The law makes many other great changes. Competitiveness, ending inheritance taxes, border security, ending the ACA personal mandates, this is BIG!!!! YUUGE!
This new law will make significant changes that some of us have worked on for years.

The Humanitarian Hoax of Net Neutrality:
Killing America With Kindness
The Humanitarian Hoax is a deliberate and deceitful tactic of presenting a destructive policy as altruistic. The humanitarian huckster presents himself as a compassionate advocate when in fact he is the disguised enemy.
Barack Obama, the humanitarian huckster-in-chief, weakened the United States for eight years presenting his crippling policies as altruistic when in fact they were designed for destruction. His late term passage of FCC 15-24 the Report and Order on Remand, Declaratory Ruling, and Order in the Matter of Protecting and Promoting the Open Internet, named Net Neutrality, was no exception.

Report - North Korea has begun tests to load anthrax onto intercontinental ballistic missiles
- The report said the testing involves ensuring the anthrax survives the immense temperatures generated during re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere.
North Korea has a stockpile of between 2,500 tons to 5,000 tons of chemical weapons, and is capable of producing biological agents such as anthrax and smallpox, South Korea has previously said. More
- "The MoveOn community will work every moment, day by day and year by year, to resist
contain the damage,...They are predicting that Trump will fire Muller and are planning to riot withon hours. There are almost 600 actions nationwide-now in all 50 states-with an unprecedented 100,000 people pledged to attend. Let's double the number of possible attendees, and let's make sure there are actions to defend the Mueller investigation in every state in the nation...So here's the plan: If Trump fires Mueller before 2:00 p.m. local time on any given day, MoveOn members and our allies will be in the streets at 5:00 p.m. local time the same day. If news breaks later in the day, we will rally at noon the following day. Our response in the hours following an authoritarian move to put Trump above the law will help drive the national media narrative and could certainly help determine whether we're able to make sure Congress holds Trump accountable." Conservatives - Can we win?
Is it all lost? Must we force a Constitutional Convention and risk National suicide when it goes rogue?
The ONLY chance we have is to change public policies by changing attitudes and perceptions of We The People.
When people quit thinking government is the answer they will look to themselves and quit feeding at the public trough. Pushing our government extravagance today but racking up more debt for the next generations is antithical to centuries of caring and thrift. "The best government is that which governs least" - Thos. Jefferson
Conservatives must work together.
Michigan Conservative Union has fought this battle since we formed in 1975. It has assembled some of the brightest, most principled patriots we are totally committed to less government and more freedoms - as invisioned and set up by the Founders. MCU works with all factions of the movement. MCU is where we will make the difference, if anywhere. Please join today on the form below or on line at www.mcu.today

(What members are thinking)
Jim Kriner - Everything you've gotten free from the government was taken from someone else.
Karen Lewis - I just keep pondering over and over how in the world can people believe that the government can possibly be a better steward of your money than you are. Phrases like government bureaucracy didn't happen in a vacuum or a different twilight zone. We always hear about the waste and fraud. We get highlights of the absolutely stupid
(yes I said it, STUPID) things that government funds with OUR dollars. Government is not a producer of anything.
andace Owens - This is why I reserve a special disgust for liberal women and their pussy hat
Travis Tetreault - Crickets from the always morally outraged on the slave markets existing today in N.Africa.
Jason Raley - People in this country have no idea what real oppression, discrimination or sexual or racial bias really is!
Brian Lewis - America....land of the oppressed, home of the snow flake
Matt Ansell - At least she doesn't suffer the oppression of having to wrap christmas presents once a year or having some male colleague pig pay her a good natured compliment. She's so lucky not live in the western world where women are "more opressed than ever".....despite a century of feminism
Kellie Krause - Young boys are sold off too. At epidemic rates. And its completely acceptable. But, ideologies can't be detrimental to society. Only wanting a woman to pay for her own birth control is. Duh #That'swhywemarch
Tracie Claiborne - I'm so sickened by people complaining and being negative while living in the greatest country in the world. Most people here can't even fathom the horrors of other countries and don't grasp how blessed we are every day. This is heartbreaking
Among Bills we are WATCHING:
HB 4220 - Right to choose and opt out of "smart meters"
SB 637, Possible testimony at Energy and Technology Committe Thursday December 28, 2017 - Michigan's 5G wireless infrastructure bill allowing electrical rights of way to be cluttered with small cell towers every 500 ft in the right of ways outside your home and/or place of work; refrigerator-sized telecom equipment in the right of ways outside your home and/or place of work; telecom companies to install more robust utility poles to handle the weight of their small cell towers right outside your home and/or place of work; increased levels of radio-frequency radiation in the environment, cap fees for telecom companies (while WE are charged to "opt-out" of radiation-emitting "smart" meters); give our right of ways away to telecom companies. These utility rights of way are often on your property that you pay taxes for, but restrict your use and enjoyment and freedom to control. Some communities get kick-backs and accept the revenuw but still tax you.
House Bill 4968 to prevent conflicts of interest for local officials related to potential wind farm developments. ...Glenn's bill would prohibit local government officials, including planning commission members, from voting on issues where they might financially benefit. 'Public officials should act in the public's best interests, not their own financial interests,' said Glenn on Tuesday in a release. 'Government officials shouldn't be voting on wind farm developments if they stand to personally profit from the projects.'"
We are disturbed by what appears to be a rush of Republican legislators who ran on limiting government (e.g. Tedder and Lucido), who have introduced bills to require licensing, fees, continuing educations, etc. for workers. Some are House members running for the Senate. More government interference we do not need! We will report more on this in the next issue.

++ TAX CUT!
ongress has reached an agreement on tax legislation that will deliver more jobs, higher wages, and massive tax relief for American families and for American companies," the President said.
Here's the President's case by the numbers:
- $2,000+: What the typical family of four earning $75,000 will see in income tax cuts, slashing their tax bill in half
- $4,000: How much incomes are expected to rise across the board as a result of tax cuts on U.S. businesses
- 1/3: The amount one sample Ohio family in the 25-percent bracket and paying nearly $14,000 in taxes would reduce their yearly tax burden
- 3%: The level of growth the U.S. economy has already surged to-tax reform would take it even further
"When government loosens it grip there is no summit we cannot reach."
Thank you, President Trump and Team! Bring on the jobs and higher income and returning a bit of controls back to We The People! "The best government is that which governs least." Thomas Jefferson Listen up, Lansing!
Comment 2: There are some friends among our cause who are taking issue that this was not big enough.
That Trump is a pragmatist of no moal values of compass. A person of moral compass and values can be realistic about what can be accomplished at a particular time. Push the bubble as much as one can and still move forward. This success comes after failure to pass several initiatives based upon campaign promises. Who thought it might actually be accomplished? It was pragmatic and smart and principled to listen and carve a mult-faceted law that used one interest (favorable to ones principles) to add another interest (favorable to ones principles), and another and another. It was at least a four-for: Tax relief; Tax Reform, Energy Reform (ANWR) and repeal ACA mandates. You can complain around the edges, and one agrees a bigger reform/repeal is wanted, but this was a principled and pragmatic master stroke.

++ Defeating Liberals Gun Control Argument with Cold Hard Facts
- look at the cold, hard math and see exactly how and why liberals stretch the truth to continue their attack on rural America, traditional values and our inalienable right to bear arms...So, this brings us back to the elephant in the room: Chicago. The Windy City has more murders and gun crimes than New York and L.A. combined. It is more dangerous for Americans than the entire countries of Iraq and Afghanistan, even when we look at numbers dating back to 2001. There is no question; violent crime in Chicago is completely out of control.
It also has the most advanced gun control laws in our country. The left has to use math tricks to try and undermine the reality and turn a blind eye to the thousands dead in their progressive experiments. Gun control doesn't just fail. It is dangerous. The next time you hear someone use crime rates to justify gun control, you can show them the real numbers and force them to face real logic.

++ Four Congressmen Remaining In Congress Despite Sexual Misconduct Accusations
There are only two kinds of people in the world. There are those who wake up in the morning and say, "Good morning, Lord," and there are those who wake up in the morning and say, "Good Lord, it's morning."
The minister was preoccupied with thoughts of how he was going to ask the congregation to come up with more money than they were expecting for repairs to the church building. Therefore, he was annoyed to find that the regular organist was sick and a substitute had been brought in at the last minute. The substitute wanted to know what to play.
"Here's a copy of the service," the pastor said impatiently. "But, you'll have to think of something to play after I make the announcement about the finances."
During the service, the minister paused and said, "Brothers and Sisters, we are in great difficulty; the roof repairs cost twice as much as we expected and we need $4,000 more. Any of you who can pledge $100 or more, please stand up."
At that moment, the substitute organist played "The Star Spangled Banner."

++ Opinion: By
Mychal S. Massie - Trump is a pragmatist, not necessarily a conservative -
I argue that America needs pragmatists because pragmatists see a problem and find ways to fix them. They do not see a problem and compound it by creating more problems.
You may not like Donald Trump, but I suspect that the reason some people do not like him is because:
(1) he is antithetical to the "good old boy" method of brokering backroom deals that fatten the coffers of politicians;
(2) they are unaccustomed to hearing a candidate speak who is unencumbered by the financial shackles of those who owe them vis-a-vis donations;
(3) he is someone who is free of idiomatic political ideology; and
(4) he is someone who understands that it takes more than hollow promises and political correctness to make America great again.
Thank you to those in the legislature who have seen through the COS.

One of Ronald Reagan's favorite philosophers was a Michigander named Russell Kirk. Sadly, too few from the ranks of today's conservative movement are familiar with the 'Sage of Mecosta' and how he nourished the intellectual roots of America's philosophical heritage.
The son of a locomotive engineer, Kirk was raised alongside the railroad tracks in Plymouth, Michigan, however he would come to see-and would see more deeply than most-many facets of America's society. He would work in factories for Henry Ford, in the military for Uncle Sam, in academia for behemoth universities, and among the ivory towers of politics for publishers and Presidents. Stoically independent, from atop 'Piety Hill' his ancestral home in Mecosta, he enriched and reinforced a massive movement by writing some thirty books and hundreds of articles, lectures and columns.
