Working with four counties, Foundation for Recovery is expanding recovery support services and building thriving recovery communities.

Earlier this fall, FFR received funding from SAMHSA to enhance recovery support services in Nye, Mineral, Lyon, and Elko counties. Our team has started working with local organizations, coalitions, and community members to establish satellite offices and begin providing direct peer recovery supports on a regular basis through in-person and tele-recovery sessions.

In addition to Peer Recovery Support Services, we're training new Peer Specialists in these communities, offering more options for mutual aid support, and planning sober social events and recovery celebrations.

Because this program collaborates with stakeholders beyond Clark and Washoe counties, it works in tandem with the Nevada Recovery Network, a statewide coalition of peer support specialists, families, and organizations to provide education and build leadership skills, problem solve, and establish new recovery community organizations across Nevada.
