The Annual Trash Tournament at Sea Hag Marina!

Our biggest turnout yet, 101 people participated in this year’s Trash Cleanup over the weekend!

World Cleanup Day! What an amazing day!

$3,250 was raised through the raffle and donations to go towards buying books for the students at Steinhatchee School!

Thank you to the participants for donating your Saturday morning to help clean up Steinhatchee & Jena’s roads and coastlines! The winners are as followed…

Heaviest Item Collected – Team Bray & Team Bubba, with a riding lawnmower.

Most Unique Item Found – Team Mathis, with a drone and camera

Most Trash Collected – Trashiest Team Ever, with 45 bags of trash plus a refrigerator & concrete hose.

Leigh Thomas landed this awesome cobia using light tackle inshore! Fall usually brings the cobia in closer with the redfish.

Rusty and Sherri were fishing for redfish and trout when they hooked up on not one, but TWO cobia!

They also came back with a nice redfish to add to their cobia catches!

The Coles assisted the Brays with bringing back an old lawn mower they found left in a ditch on the Jena side!

James Bray rode and steered the lawn mower all the way over the bridge back to Sea Hag!

Above is the line up of events for the 2023 Florida Redfish Series! The series is a string of tournaments where anglers complete by weighing in redfish. All redfish are released following weigh-in.

Red Snapper Closures

Team Sea Hag, Danielle Norwood, Chaeli Harden, Britany Snyder, Colby Snyder and Colton Snyder had the best time taking Mr. Charlie's golf cart to pick up trash around town! LOL

Team Puddins Hatchwagons not only spent their morning collecting trash around town but they also donated golf carts for folks to use for the event!

Brittney Wirick found a poor little mouse "sleeping"... on the road while collecting trash! LOL

The Medlin girls collected a good bit of trash during the event! Lori Medlin helped our tournament director host and put on the event!

The Kayak Fishing Tournament in Keaton Beach is set for October 8, 2022!

We had one of the best turnouts we've ever had for the Trash Tournament!

Team Camp Sea Four found an old negative covid test on the side of the road! LOL Don't worry gloves were used.

Puddins Hatchwagons were so generous to donate the use of their golf cart rentals for free for the trash tournament! We saw folks zipping all around town collecting trash on them. Thank you!

The Rouse crew had lots of fun collecting trash.

Kora, Kenton & Kaden Welsh gathered up some big bags of trash during the trash tournament over the weekend.

Team Bowen came back with some bags of collected trash.

Tommy Simmons and his wife, Paula Simmons, were a huge help during the trash tournament! They helped hand out supplies and unload the golf carts and vehicles when folks brought back trash! Thank you to you both!

Team Tri-Eagle Sales went by boat and collected trash from the banks of the bay.

We were so blessed with an awesome turnout for the trash tournament!

THIS SATURDAY! The Aucilla Christian Academy is hosting the Casting for Christ Fishing Tournament on September 24th, THIS WEEKEND, at the Sea Hag Marina! Great time for a GREAT cause!

We found a little throwback picture in honor of his birthday! Captain Chase Norwood and Derek Snyder went fishing back in 2012 when Captain Chase hung his first fish board. Happy 22nd Chase! We hope it was the best!
