2023 Pescadora Billfish Championship

In addition to providing a fun and encouraging tournament experience, the Pescadora is a proud advocate for the Residence of Life Orphanage, a private children’s home housing 20 children located in Grecia, Costa Rica. Residence of Life provides a stable and loving environment for children while helping them find a forever family.  A portion of all proceeds are donated to Residence of Life to further its mission.

Jennifer "JT"

JT lives in the Locust Point neighborhood of Baltimore City. Born and raised in Baltimore, she'll tell you the Domino Sugar sign is her back yard. A water bug from birth she discovered a love of fishing as a young girl flounder fishing in the Assawoman Bay while on vacation in Ocean City, Maryland. When she's not fishing, or planning her next fishing adventure, JT works as a Commercial Real Estate Lender in MD/DC/VA and enjoys trail running and hiking with her sweet Labrador Retriever, Olive. 

Fishing Costa Rica has always been a dream. JT's goal for the tournament is to catch her first Blue Marlin and try her hand at hooking her first fish solo!

Ali

Ali, aka The Boat Ninja, is from Church Hill, Maryland. She enjoys everything outdoors from deer and bird hunting to Bay and Ocean fishing. She grew up on the bay boating her entire life, but offshore fishing is a newly discovered love for her. When she's not enjoying the Eastern Shore life, she works for a luxury construction company called Lundberg Builders, as an administrative assistant, photographer and marketing specialist. She is also an assistant wedding photographer. Ali loves her Chesapeake Bay retrievers and taking care of her new litter. Her dogs are Uniquely named, Chester, and River. If you are ever looking for a wing-woman, Ali is your girl. Always down for any adventure.

Ali's goal for the tournament is to catch her first billfish and jump in the diesel infested water, and to have an awesome time for her first trip abroad!!

Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn is coming from Easton, Maryland and is a multi-generational native of the Eastern Shore. In her free time from working as a Realtor with Benson & Mangold Real Estate, she enjoys giving back to the community through her local Order of the Eastern Star chapter, playing in a women's golf league, being out on the water, and spending time with her friends and family. 

Kaitlyn's goal for the tournament is to catch a beautiful Sailfish and to have a wonderful memory of a fun girl's fishing trip including her mom, Kristen!

Kristen

Kristen grew up in Chestertown, Maryland and is now living in Islamorada, Florida with her husband and two onery sons! She works at the Plantation Key School in Tavernier, Florida and helps her husband with his boat sales career. In Kristen's free time away from sports practices and "mom life" duties, she loves to enjoy boating, fishing, and hanging out with friends on those beautiful blue waters of the Florida Keys.

Kristen's goal for the tournament is to raise as much money as possible for the Residence of Life Orphanage.
