Apply Now for Surface Transportation Block Grant Funding

OVRDC is now accepting applications to the STBG program. Funding can be used for roadway projects that occur on federal-aid eligible routes. Exceptions to that rule include bike/ped, transit, safety, and non-highway freight projects.

Funding applications are due by noon on August 7, 2026.

District 15 Receives More Than $15 Million for Local Infrastructure Improvements Through OPWC

District 15 has been awarded more than $15 million through the Ohio Public Works Commission to support critical road, bridge, water, and wastewater infrastructure projects across the region. Round 41 funding is now open for eligible communities to apply.

Transportation Needs Survey

This survey is intended to gather information about the needs and available transportation options in the region. The Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission (OVRDC) will use the survey results to help Mobility Managers understand the transportation needs of our community and how to develop plans so they are used more effectively and report those needs to ODOT.

Need a Letter of Support?

OVRDC is pleased to offer letters of support to projects in our region applying for funding that advance economic and community development interests of each county we serve. To request a letter of support, please submit the request below at least two weeks before the application deadline.

Now Open!

Nominations are now open for Ohio Opportunity Zones 2.0. Local Governments and economic development organizations are encouraged to complete and submit the nomination form to nominate a census tract for consideration.

Applications for Rural Workforce

Funding Due July 23

Applications for funding through the Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC) Initiative are due July 23! Managed by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), the WORC Initiative supports community-led grant projects that address workforce and economic development challenges in rural Appalachia and other regions.

Applications for Local Government Capacity Building Due July 31

ARC is now accepting applications for the second round of its READY Local Governments program. This initiative provides training and technical assistance to help local government leaders and staff better identify, secure, manage, and implement federally funded economic development projects.
