Today's home office: Joyce Fries, an instructor in Grossmont College's Occupational Therapy Assistant program
1. Describe your home office.
My home office is in my kitchen raised on a laundry basket. Since I normally teach at night, my day starts after 9 am.
2. What is a typical day for you working from home?
First checking email, then working on my lengthy "to do" list. I'm preparing for teaching fully online this summer, which includes making many changes to the Canvas courses. Also, I'm using Zoom to continue the work of the Academic Program Review committee that I chair.
3. What tip would you pass on to other GCCCD employees?
I take breaks each lunch time by taking a walk around my neighborhood. Then I watch a webinar (at least 2-3 per week) about teaching online.
