We wanted to give all our wonderful donors a status update, and what better time than The Rescue’s 1-year anniversary! We received our Nonprofit 501c3 status from the IRS August 31, 2017. What a year it has been!
AKC Canine Good Citizen
Tuve has passed her American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Test (AKC CGC) and is working to pass the service dog Public Access Standard test. In addition to her advanced obedience, she is mastering five tasks which will help Veterans suffering with PTSD. Visit her YouTube page to see videos of her skills.
Tuve Needs a Veteran Partner
We are looking for Veterans to apply for Tuve! She is ready to find her person and get to work helping them live a fuller life. If you are or know a Veteran who would benefit from the support and assistance of a PTSD service dog, please share our information, have them call us and/or fill out the application on our website.
Samantha Scott has been added to the Board as the Director of Training. She will be a great asset moving forward helping evaluate potential service dog candidates and creating individualized training plans for each of our dogs. She and her German Shepherd Astrid are also becoming a certified Therapy Dog team.
Thank you again for your support, we would not have been able to transform our first shelter dog Tuve into this fantastic service dog in-training without your help. Please keep up with our progress on our Facebook Pageor our Website’s News & Updatespage.
