Thanks to You, We Did It! | |
Huge thanks to our community who came out and rallied to get us close to our $35,000 goal. We raised $33,972 – an incredible feat. Special thanks to everyone who gave $5, $25, all the way up to an incredible major anonymous donation of $10,000. We’re just about $1,200 shy of meeting our goal. Did you want to give but didn’t get a chance?
There’s still time to give (and you can always give any time of year)!
There are four easy ways to give:
Remember, corporate matching is a great way to double or even triple your donations. Most companies have a program where you can donate through their portal or submit the donation receipt and they will match the funds and send them directly to the booster club. Check with your company to see if they have such a program.
For all details, visit this page on our website: https://www.ballardperformingarts.org/direct-giving
Special thanks to:
- All the talented student performers for the amazing music.
- Fabulous directors and program reps for encouraging the performers and spreading the word through emails and concert announcements.
- Steve Skonieczny for setting up and running the sound for the event.
- Sara Stevens for stepping up to MC at the last minute.
- Local businesses such as Alpine Hut, Seven Hills Running Store, Ballard Market, Barre 3, Tim's Chips, Rosellini's and for donating gift certificates, raffle prizes, or food for the event.
- Bickersons Brewhouse for graciously hosting our event.
- Dedicated Volunteers: Jill Hansen, Rachel Hart Rios, Laura Graham, Jeannette Chen, Stephanie Skinner, Karen Morse, Carol Cheyne, Shelley Rousseau, Karen Clark, Rhea Patton, Molly Brown, Jaimee Papineau, Sally Rampersad, Kirsten Moy, and Gabriela Montenegro for help during the event or behind the scenes.
- Last, but certainly not least, Kris Bulson, our fundraising chair for her leadership throughout the campaign!

Winter Concerts are coming up soon! Each night, one program will be highlighted (12/7-Choir, 12/8-Band and 12/9-Orchestra), meaning that the first half of the concert will feature performances by students in the highlighted program. After intermission, the audience will be dazzled by a large choral orchestral work showcasing Advanced Chorale, Concert Choir, Chamber Orchestra, and select wind players presenting selections from Vivaldi’s Gloria! (Students in these groups will need to be at ALL THREE winter music concerts. Please make sure these dates are on your calendar!)
While all concerts are free, they are typically very well-attended, so if you'd like to avoid the stress of arriving early to save seats, you can reserve seats on Showtix4u. Proceeds from tickets go straight back into BPA Booster Club!

Don’t miss your opportunity to be part of a BHS Tradition and this Tony Award-winning musical. This enchanting classic, based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's 1911 novel, is reimagined in brilliant musical style by composer Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman. Orphaned in India, 11-year-old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle Archibald and his disabled son Colin. The estate's many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies and the "Dreamers," spirits from Mary's past who guide her through her new life, dramatizing The Secret Garden's compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal.
