Rev. Liz - The Return
We are fast approaching the longest and darkest night of the year, known as the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. If you are like most people I know, you probably prefer the longer days and shorter nights that we experience in the summer months. I personally don’t much enjoy having short days with the sun setting before 5:00 pm; however, there are gifts to be found in times of darkness.
Winter Solstice is one of the most powerful points of the year as the axis of the
earth pauses, shifts, and moves in the opposite direction. For three days around the solstice, we experience the power of this standstill point and shift of direction.
The sun standing still is a powerful metaphor for the energy available to us at the
Winter Solstice to change the direction of our lives with intention and build on this energy as we approach the new year.
Join us this Sunday, December 19, as we enter the darkest time of the year
together. Come explore the gifts that this Winter Solstice offers us and discover
what internal shifts you can make in your own life as we all return to the Light
both internally and externally. Blessed be.
In gratitude and love always,
Rev. Liz
