Announcing Fall Season Dates!

We heard you loud and clear, you're all ready for football to begin again! Mark your calendars and tell your friends! We're excited to share our dates for fall season ...

  • Online registration will be open August 5th through 18th

  • New player orientation and scrimmage games // August 24th

  • Meet your team party // August 25th

  • Pre-season scrimmage games // September 7th

  • Regular season games begin September 14th

  • Playoffs and Championship game // November 23rd

We are working on final details for fall, we expect registration to cost around $100 per player (12 weeks of games including pre-season). Your registration fee covers field rentals, referees, jerseys, and fall events. Limited financial assistance will be available -- we want everyone who wants to play to join us!

We anticipate having 8-10 teams. We would like to create teams of 14 players for fall. The first 140 players to register will be guaranteed a spot on a team. Once we reach 140 players we will begin a waitlist.

We're also putting together details for a non-player group registration (small fee to cover cost of jerseys and events). If you know friends who are interested in joining to help with field setup, managing the down markers (chains), and cheerleading on the sidelines, let them know we're creating a team for them! More information will be shared in our July huddle.
Gay Bowl XIX - New York City

Last week we received confirmation our league will be allowed to send two teams to the tournament this fall. We are so excited to arrive at our first Gay Bowl with such a great turnout representing our new league! John Zajicek and Duane Gosley will be captains for our two teams. We will be asking others from the group who signed up to act as co-captains for each team. If you are interested please reach out to John and Duane to let them know.

John and Duane are working on details to send a communication to everyone who expressed interest in being a part of our travel teams. We have almost 50 people who signed up. We will have space for 40 players on our rosters (20 per team). We expect some players will be unable to join as planned, but may have to create a waitlist if we end up with more than 40 players after our first Gay Bowl meeting and practices.

Within the next two weeks we will be sending a communication to everyone who signed up for Gay Bowl to share details for practices, team rosters, fundraising, and travel coordination. If you have questions beforehand please email John or Duane.
Summer & Fall Events
Sean Ballard and Corey Ali are starting an events committee. Those who expressed interest in the season end survey have been contacted via email. We are planning several league events for the summer and fall, more details to come soon! We'll post events to our Facebook group, our website events page, and share details via email as we have dates planned.

  • Beach football day
  • Trivia night at Grid Iron
  • Bar night at Freeplay
  • PVDGFFL @ Dave & Busters
  • Pool Party (Gay Bowl Fundraiser) on August 18th

Please contact Sean if you have questions regarding the events committee.
