North Beach Town Hall
This month I hosted the first of my quarterly town halls. We had 80+ residents come out to hear what is going on in North Beach. The evening was filled with engaging dialogue and innovative ideas to continue to make North Beach a world class community to live in.

  Cuba: Sailing a New Course
I was fortunate enough to be in Cuba during President Obama's historic trip there. My firm belief is that democracy will be propelled in Cuba through cultural diplomacy.
Clean Beaches for All
We had a busy spring break season, but through the efforts of City staff and the community (including my fellows commissioners), we did a good job of keeping our beaches clean for all to enjoy. A big thank you to all the volunteers who came out to lend a helping hand!
Neighborhood Spotlight
I walked the Palm View neighborhood with residents, city staff, and the police to further educate myself on issues facing the neighborhood, especially lighting concerns. The city is currently conducting an analysis to ensure all of our neighborhoods are lit to a minimum standard to promote safety.
