WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU: HAVE YOU FELT THE EARTH SHAKE IN THE PAST 2 YEARS?
| Have you ever felt the earth shake where you live during the past 2 years? Has it led to any damage you needed to repair and/or did it make you feel anxiety when it occurred?
| |
The District offices (21 & 22) of the Lesser Slave Lake Traditional Métis area want to hear from you and know if you remember one or more of the large Seismic events that occurred during the dates of November 29th, 2022, and March 16th, 2023. We are going to write a report on what we find out and to submit it to the authorities.
Your personal information except unattributed comments will not be shared outside of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government.
People who submit comments will be entered into a draw for a $50 gift card so fill out your forms completely.

REMINDER OF OUR ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY:
We understand that individuals may experience frustration when matters they feel strongly about are not addressed as desired. However, if that frustration escalates into aggression or inappropriate behavior towards our staff, we consider it unacceptable.
𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱.
Aggressive, abusive, slanderous, or defaming behavior includes language (whether verbal or written) that may cause staff to feel afraid, threatened, defamed, slandered, or abused. This behavior may include, but is not limited to, threats, personal verbal abuse, defamation of character, derogatory remarks, inflammatory statements, racism, discrimination, and unsubstantiated allegations, as well as a rude or hostile tone and/or actions.
Additionally, the use of defaming, name-calling, accusations, and swear words in written or verbal communication will not be tolerated. Such behaviors are considered abusive and will not be tolerated. Communications displaying these behaviors will not receive a response and will be removed from our online profiles or event or office locations if in-person.
We always encourage our citizens to be mindful of the Seven Sacred Teachings in their lives, which include love, respect, honesty, courage/bravery, truth, wisdom, and humility. These teachings serve as guiding principles, reminding us to live our lives with respect towards each other and every living thing.

PINK SHIRT DAY
February 28, 2024
|
Our team wore pink to take a stand against bullying in honor of Pink Shirt Day. The day originated in 2007 when two students took a stand against bullying after seeing another student being picked on for wearing pink.
Now, Canada observes Pink Shirt Day annually as a day to raise awareness about bullying prevention and promote kindness.
We encourage everyone to join us by wearing pink and showing your support for a kinder, more inclusive world. Together, we can make a difference! ♾️💙
