First and most important, I hope you and your families are having a healthy, happy, holiday season.
Reflecting on what has certainly been a turbulent year, there are many bright spots to look back on, and so many more to look forward to in the coming months. Adapting with the current landscape, we will be hosting our second Dare to Dream Design Thinking Workshop, hosted by Gould Academy’s Sara Shifrin. The workshop will be held virtually this February, and we could not be more excited to see how the students tackle this year’s complex, and region-specific scenario.
Though gathering was difficult this year, we are proud to have hosted nearly all of our events (with some restructuring) and, after much anticipation, we couldn't be more excited to host the inaugural Master of The Mountain event March 14, 2021 at Sunday River. Signups go live January 1, 2021.
Also going live on January 1, 2021 is registration for the third annual Ridge2River Challenge. This one-of-a-kind trail running event is the product of a collaboration between The River Fund Maine, Mahoosuc Land Trust and Inland Woods & Trails which find commonality in our collective work to provide educational and recreational opportunities for area youth.
These first few weeks in the Executive Director role have been a thrill. I can’t wait to see what we all accomplish in the New Year.
See you out on the slopes!
