2024 Income Taxes

It's hard to believe it, but we are just a couple of short months away from the end of the year.

Our goal is to provide your fully completed business year-end packet to you, and your tax preparer, timely in January.

Please review the following information to ensure you are on track for a smooth tax season!

November

Supporting Documentation Audits

To ensure your small business is ready for income taxes, another supporting documentation audit will be completed in November.

Out of compliance? Uncategorized notifications will be sent this month for any missing documentation including W9s.

December

Final Documentation Deadline

December 10th is the annual deadline for ALL documentation!

Supporting documentation allows us to verify deductions and income, complete tax reporting due diligence, file tax forms, assist your tax preparer with financial details, provide support in audits, and ensure your financials are correct.

If you would like us to prepare a year-end packet in January for your business income taxes, all supporting documentation through November must be received no later than December 10th. #LetsCFOontheGo!

January

Year End Packets

Upon completion of your December month-end we will provide your 2024 year-end packet to you, and your tax preparer. This will include everything needed to timely, and accurately, file your business income taxes!

The closing date of your bank, credit card, and loan accounts will depend on the timing of your year-end close.

If your business has accounts with a closing date:

AFTER January 5th, your year-end will be completed in the 2nd half of January.
AFTER January 20th, your year-end will be completed in late January or early February.

TIP: We recommend contacting your banking institution(s) now and request that your account closing dates are the end of the month.

February

Timely Hand-off Commitment

We are committed to providing year-end packets to all tax preparers no later than February 15th each year so that the income tax process may begin timely - and we can best support all parties.

If you have not provided the information needed to prepare a year-end packet, everything that has been supplied to Bell Solutions will be available in your QuickBooks for your tax preparer to access no later than February 15th.

2024 Holiday

Our offices will be closed from December 23rd - January 5th.

Limited support will be available for payroll.
