Tuition and Financial Assistance for 2021-22

Thank you to all the parents who joined us for the Heilicher Parent Town Hall last Tuesday evening. A recording of the program is available here.

Attached, please find the schedule of tuition for the 2021-22 school yearPlease read this document in its entirety as there is important information about our continuous enrollment process and tuition deposit options.

Current students will be automatically re-enrolled for the following school year until they graduate. A Continuous Enrollment deposit reserves a place for your currently-enrolled student on the appropriate 2021-2022 grade-level class roster and will be applied toward 2021-2022 tuition.

The deposit will be automatically withdrawn from your Heilicher account on file on March 16, 2021, unless you opt for a deposit installment plan or you notify the school in writing of your intention to withdraw enrollment. To opt into a deposit installment plan, you must fill out this form by February 28, 2021. Notice of student withdrawal from Heilicher must be provided in writing to Admissions Director, Louise Schoenberger.

We are now accepting Tuition Assistance Applications for the 2021-2022 school year. Applications are due no later than Feb. 28, 2021. Awards will be communicated in mid-April. Note that current families receiving financial aid must reapply for assistance each year. Any questions regarding the financial aid process or tuition can be sent to our Finance Director, Karen Hoppe.

Pennies for Patients

As part of our continuing commitment to tikkun olam (repairing the world), fourth graders are leading Pennies for Patients Spirit Week to raise awareness and money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Learn more about the cause from the fourth graders here.

We are encouraging all Heilicher students to participate in this weeklong fundraiser. New this year, students will collect money digitally, and they will soon get a link to share with family and friends. During the week of February 22, there will be a theme each day to build excitement and raise awareness for this cause.
Purim Celebrations at Heilicher!

Purim/פורים is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from Haman in Persia circa 357 B.C.E. The story is recorded in The Biblical Scroll of Esther/Megillat Esther. We are excited to be celebrating Purim in school on Friday, February 26.

Students are encouraged to dress in costume for the day. Please note that all costumes must be consistent with our dress code policy - faces must be visible and costumes may not include any weapons or offensive language.

To learn more about Purim customs and how we will celebrate at Heilicher please see this full letter from Julie Ziessman (Director of Jewish Life and Hebrew) and Wendy Goldberg (Assistant Director of Jewish Life).
Purim Mitzvah Project

Help us honor the Purim Mitzvah of giving gifts to those in need (Matanot La-Evyonim) מתנות לאביונים by contributing the following clothing items. These can be new or gently used, and whatever size or style you contribute will be fine. As we don our costumes for Purim, others will be able to don clothing they need.

Bring these in between now and Purim (Friday, February 26) so that we can donate them on Purim, in accordance with the mitzvah. We are asking each grade to donate these items:
  • Grades K-2: socks
  • Grades 3-5: winter hats or gloves
  • Grades 6-8: t-shirts or underwear
