Visiting artist-in-residence Rabbi Matt Berkowitz with the fifth-grade class and their Pesah Haggadah artwork. Rabbi Berkowitz's collection of haggadah artwork,  Passover Landscapes: Illuminations on the Exodus, is on display in the Tychman Shapiro gallery until May 30.
Message from Yoni

This past week we had the honor of hosting Rabbi Matthew Berkowitz as our artist-in-residence in collaboration with community partners at the Sabes JCC and Beth El Synagogue (see photo above).

Rabbi Berkowitz worked with students of all ages and with many other community members over a whirlwind week-long visit. He facilitated programs that brought new dimension to our students' study of Passover, as evidenced, particularly, through the fifth-grade Haggadah and seder plate projects, which are currently on display in the Tychman Gallery in the lobby of the Barry Family Campus. The residency was made possible, in part, through your generosity at last year's Annual Benefit fund-a-need. Thank you!

A perfect time to come see the students' work is next Thursday afternoon, when we welcome grandparents and special guests to join us for Yom Dor L'Dor. I look forward to a great event, and I hope everyone has a good Pesah break (beginning April 19) and a meaningful holiday. Reminder: we have no school Monday, April 29 for a teacher professional development day.

B'Shalom,

Yoni
