Wendy Lovell-Smith and Colin Smith to Co-Chair Heilicher Endowment Campaign; Couple Makes Leadership Gift of $1 Million

Heilicher is excited to announce that Wendy Lovell-Smith and Colin Smith will serve as co-chairs of the school's endowment campaign, which is still in its early stages and will launch formally this May. The couple has generously pledged $1 million toward the campaign.

For more than a decade the Smiths have been stalwart supporters of Heilicher, where they have sent all four of their children. (Three are alumni and one is currently in fifth grade). The couple is active in leadership, volunteerism, and philanthropy, not only at Heilicher but also in the local Jewish community and nationally.

A Message About Riddles from BatSheva

Six months ago we started having riddles for students in grades 3-8 about lesser known cities in Israel. In each riddle, clues were given about a city every two days and the students had to discover the name of the city.

It was gratifying to see the students participating in solving the riddles and the excitement when the winning class was announced at All School Lunch. These fun riddles were an informal way of learning about lesser known cities in Israel.  The riddles are now on display at the top of the staircase to second floor. Stop by and take a look if you have a chance.
